Paid the 2,000,000 drop cost for the Rolling Thunder Trick It event. I struggled to hit gold; had to "cheat" to do it (ie. play against the mountain). Good thing the payout will be 7-8,000,000.

When you challenge someone and you restart the race, does it count as a ghost win for them?
I believe that finishing and losing to someone counts as a ghost win for them.

I thought they were gonna be super hard but the only ones that caused some trouble were Rocks and Cold. No regenerative health was really not fun there >_< 30 tries maybe, WITH a youtube video to guide me. Wingsuit felt like a cheat in some of these.Will one week be enough to get into Diamond Bracket on Beyond the Fall - Race It?! Tried a couple of runs this morning and got a new personal best almost every time, currently at 1:16:56, but yeah, gonna be hard to beat that guy at 1:10:89
Btw, this game is SO much fun! I think it might be a good thing that I have never played a SSX-title before as I can't compare it to previous titles. Sure, some tracks are really frustrating but overall, the positives for sure outweighs the negatives. Love Ridernet! : )

Haven't been playing much lately, but now that ME3 is finished and I took the three or so days needed to get over the god awful ending, I'm ready to kill these slopes again.

Same here. By the time I realize I'm getting a wall or going off a cliff it is too late, even with rewind it is really hard to correct it. The wing suit is the worst, no camera control and you can rarely see what is below you. Too many endless pits and things to smash into makes this game more frustrating than fun.

Thank god I haven't gone hardcore on most of the tracks yet, because for the "I ain't afraid of snow ghost trophy" you need to beat a friends ghost, it won't count if you add friends afterwards and they get placed below you.
Also the 2w event is currently at 13000 riders with 1w to go. Seems a little low if they want to achieve 50000.

What other high roller Global Events are there except Diamond Back, Wrecking Crew and Rolling Thunder? It would be fun if the competition would move around a bit and not just be concentrated on those three runs.

That prized Rolling Thunder Race It time of yours @ 1:02.29 if fun to lose to. After losing to your ghost a few times and getting within .34 of a second with my legit 1:20.63...
I was watching your ghost near the end of the run only to realize the boost you were getting from the huge drop was from a using a wingsuit...
So I basically STOMPED all over your time if I would have used my speed wingsuit as well. I am dissapoint in you, bro.
Edit: and btw I've been able to consistently get more than 1.6 seconds ahead of you in the caves sustained even outside before the drop, its the drop itself with your wingsuit that boosts you ahead... AHAHA LAMEEE

Really, go ahead. Todd Batty killed my time by using a wingsuit so I had to use it in retaliation. My ~1:04 time was without a wingsuit.
Diving headfirst in a wingsuit is apparently the fastest you can go in the game.

I would avoid entering any global events until you get your gold back, my friend's gold ran out, he entered into a global event and now apparently that pile of cash he earned for that event is unclaimable. He might have just done something wrong, but I sense a potential glitch with the online pass and XBL Gold.
i read that this was done on purpose. if he gets XBL Gold again, he will get all the cash.

My friend couldnt redeem the cash he earned while in silver, even after getting gold again. He has been fine since, but I think that pot of money is lost to him. Its not a huge problem, but I guess high roller events should be avoided.
found the original article. but it only covers the online pass section. well seems like a bug then which they will hopefully patch out.
for myself: already waiting for 11 days for my copy to arrive....

And I was so pleased with my score. I actually accidentally cashed in my combo half way through in that 59 million run so I should be able to squeeze a bit more out of it. One day, one day.
Improved my time on Bear Claw today as well, had to wingsuit almost the entire course to get ahead of of my rival. Talk about taking all the fun out of it. Not that I'm against the use of wingsuits but in all honesty they do water down a lot of the races.
This can't be stressed enough.
On Rolling Thunder?
It's important to get Tricky off the very first jump (Right after you land from jumping out of the heli!) and then sustain it the entire race. My secret is that, right after you leave the last cave, using your boost on the very first kicker to reach the upper shelf gives you access to a killer short cut. This is where you deploy the wingsuit and divebomb headfirst (Plunging nose first in a wingsuit is the fastest you can descend in the game, apparently.) towards the final jump that leads to the finish.
I was originally doing this without a wingsuit but then Todd and Jeremy, guys from the dev team, destroyed my time with a wingsuit. I had to succumb to the evils of the wingsuit to reclaim my time from them. :c
Just select my name using the Rivals wall and then find my time on Rolling Thunder. This will allow you to view my ghost data.
