Thanks for sharing. I like the wet-then-freeze part. Reminds me of Magicka.Does anyone have posted this? Preview from oxm uk
Besides, in the magazine also say this:
EATS MEETS WEST
The combat controls feel weird at first, but work well once you get the hang of them. Things get interesting when your team's skills are combined: burn the wings off a harpy and warriors can finish the job on the ground. Get an enemy wet and they'll freeze when hit with ice magic. This takes the rules and depth of JRPG combat and makes it work in third-person combat. Deep, clever and incredibly fun.
BLABBER JABBER
Your party has a tendency to talk all the time, which is why it's vital to turn the subtitles off as soon as you start the game. To begin with the babbling is constant and pointless, but as you progress it starts to get useful. Pawns with experience fighting certain enemies will offer invaluable insight in a fight. Trolls always attack women first, for example. Misogynist trolls. Imagine that.

WHAT IS THIS FEELING IN MY PANTS
Please God, don't let there be 'DLC' on the disc or day one DLC...
I want to get this for PS3 but I want to be able to buy DLC without a credit card. Does PS3 let you use paypal or buy credits from a store yet?

Nice. Sounds tactical and fun!Yeah, you can find buckets or jars of water laying around, pick them up and throw them at enemies and ice spells do more damage. Also, the same goes for oil and fire.

Not sure about that...I don't remember stuff in the other Capcom streams being Letterboxed...sounds ridiculous...the sub HD I can understand,it won't be the first current gen game that is not true 720/1080p but Letterboxed? nah,bad rumour me thinks ;P

If you want to get into the nitty-gritty bits, you've got upgrades, equipment crafting and item combinations. Job classes can be levelled up and switched between at will, and all the quests we've tried so far have been epic undertakings. Ten hours in and we've barely even touched it.
As with anything of this size and scope, there are imperfections. The frame rate isn't always great, and characters sometimes pop in from nowhere as the demo build struggles to keep loading. Even with these issues, Dragon's Dogma is astounding - a fascinating take on the genre that could be more exciting than Skyrim. Where the hell did this even come from?
We've all read Berserk here?

@ultrabrilliant
Dragon's Dogma does that Dark Souls thing where you think something's impossible, then you come back later and totally boss it.
@ultrabrilliant
There's no hand-holding at all, and you have no idea whether enemies/quests are too tough for you.
@ultrabrilliant
You have to feel around in the dark, learn the rhythm, adapt. Really satisfying.
