By the way, does anyone already have plans for doing the OT? If someone already has some elaborate plans and has the ability to do some nice banners, etc, then I would like them to do it.

Dresden signed up to do the Dragon's Dogma OT in the official thread. (Source)

No idea how useful it is to have someone on a media blackout to do it. ;-)

What's the difference between the two?

I hated the one used in RE5 so much (for ps3), anything better than that would be nice, lol

They both cause blur, but FXAA doesn't blur the screen anywhere near as much as QAA does. That AA method will often times ruin the details due to how much it blurs the screen.

Exposing the sinister cartel of retailers who allow companies to pay for advertising space.
No, it means the game has a new framework that introduces FXAA.

FXAA is Nvidia tech so it's not available for the Xbox 360's ATI GPU and it's not available for the PS3's six year old Nvidia chip. It can only be for a PC version unless I'm very mistaken.

I think you are very mistaken. FXAA might have been developed by Nvidia. But it's a post-process AA method that can be implemented anywhere and by anyone. (No idea how actual licensing works if implemented in a commercial product, but there is nothing Nvidia specific in the method.)

There is plenty of 360 and ps3 games that use fxaa.

Regular action game I think, I remember someone said the controls feels a bit weird and takes a bit to get used to, but judging from videos it seems pretty action game-ish:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Za56RJ19kZA

For controls I think you have light and heavy attacks for face buttons, and you hold L1/R1 to activate primary and secondary skill shortcuts on the face buttons.

Something about this video makes the game look like it's clay animation. I'm not sure what it is.

If I can create a party of Conan, Valeria, Subotai, + random last person, my purchase will be validated. Couldn't give a damn how dark the game gets because that squad >>> whatever the game would throw at me.

I need that wolfhead hood. This game has some amazing armour so far.

I agree. After Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur, it's refreshing to see some nice armor design.
This is only what is seen so far. I can't wait to see everything the game has to offer with armor and weapons.

look so good.

I pray/wish that fantasy medieval games become the new hot genre next gen ( like modern military shooter this gen)

Come on Capcom...give me a better reason to pre-order than some low level weapons or some coins. I will blindly jump on this if you just have a little something extra. Of course if early reviews are allowed (something that is becoming a rarity) and they are good I will gladly pre-order.

How has Capcom been lately with early reviews of their games?

God this game looks amazing, can't fucking wait.

I do wish it wasn't after the huge influx of quality non-linear third person fantasy action/RPGs starting with The Witcher 2 for those of you with awesome PCs and moving on to Dark Souls, then Skyrim, and then Amalur (and then Witcher 2 again in a week and a half for those of us without awesome PCs), but that's certainly not going to stop me from playing an enjoying the hell out of it.

I can't shake that horrible ominous feeling that Capcom will fuck it up though. They'll lock DLC behind the disc, or deliberately cut out the last several hours of gameplay to sell to us later, or barely support the game post-release only to put out an Ultra Mega Super Duper Dragon Slayer Dragon's Dogma SKU that has all sorts of bells and whistles that just couldn't be added by patches and DLC.

That won't happen... right, GAF? Right?

Right? :(

It's not a fighting game, I think we're okay.

Pretty sure there will be a shitload of DLCs, we just don't know what they are and how much contents are in the main game in comparison. Especially since they spent all that effort making that character creator, there are no reasons that they won't exploit it and release a load of cosmetic items, parts, hair, make up, etc. I remember their twitter tweeted something like "There will be rich and addictive DLCs" or some crap :lol

I'm just hoping to see there are enough contents in the main game. Quests DLCs were confirmed if I remember correctly so there are probably post game DLCs that let you do them after you beat the main campaign, considering that they come later for ps3, I couldn't care less.

What I am worrying about is that they fuck up new game+ because they want you to do those post game contents or something, since they don't seem to want to talk about it.

and yeah it's not a fighting game so they can't really do the characters thing, so only thing left to worry about are those extra quests and what they have, if the design is the same as their previous action games where there are a lot of replay values, then I think it will be ok.
