But fuck yeah, I am going to patch that bad boy up to enhanced edition and play through it again, best RPG in years.
Pretty sure all versions are enhanced editions now. On PC it's a free patch and on 360 vanille version = enhanced edition.
If you're getting a console you should check out the Dragon's Dogma demo next week and see if it tickles your RPG buds.

The Witcher series are definitely the best RPGs this gen.
I've been looking at Dragons Dogma for a while already
360 copy arrives in the morning. Completed all the outstanding Uni work I had to finish tonight. Safe to say I'm going to wake at 10, install, grab a red bull from the shop, close the curtains and get stuck in.
Didn't play it on PC, but I've heard all the positive impressions. I've also heard in the OT that it's as close to a great ASOIAF game as you're likely to get, in a good way.

Its a brilliant game. The writing is certainly stronger than you'll find in most videogame stories. It makes sense as they are drawing inspiration from the Witcher novels.
The best thing about the game is that the choices you make actually matter. You could choose a certain course of action early on in the game and later on in the game you'll face the consequences of that action.
Its gorgeous to look at too.
Honestly I don't even take my PS3 back to Uni with me anymore. I bought that thing for MGS4 and since then it's been a bit of a relic. Sony's online is shite, besides Uncharted I'm not a big fan of the 1st party titles and I play all my multiplatform games on my 360, with achievements and party chat with my real life friends.
I've watched more Blu Ray films than I have played actual games, and that's the only reason I haven't sold the thing.
This is what most excites me. I loved the end of Mass Effect 2 where all the things you'd done in the game affected how the finale would play out. Sure I lost one of my favourite characters as a result, and yes, I was genuinely upset about that, but once I reflected on it I realised I'd had an emotional reaction. And that's something I rarely get from games.
That made ME3's shitty hallway, choiceless, turret section bullshit even harder to deal with. Hate that game.

Bayern players who are one yellow card away from missing the second leg in Madrid (or the final..): Boateng, Müller, Gustavo, Kroos & Alaba.
If Boateng (likely) and Gustavo (very likely) will get booked then Bayern is pretty much done in Bernabeu.
Because they'd need a substitute CB even though they don't have one on the bench except for van Buyten, who is still injured or not fully recovered from what I understand so only Tymoshchuk can be put into CB. But he will be needed in case Gustavo is missing. No idea how they will deal with that.
Should Kroos and Müller get booked, then they'd miss a 10er and Pranjic would have to play (I assume).
Without Alaba they wouldn't have a decent left back and Lahm would had to go to the left while leaving the right wing to Rafinha (Ronaldo would rape him).

Contento is LB, way more likely to play than Rafinha. I'm more worried about the CB position, thankfully Webb is the referee and he's a hard time showing cards. Tymo can do a fine job, actually I think it would be smart to start him as DM in the Bernabeu he has more experience.
Mueller is going to the bench for this match, and Kroos will be playing as #10 so there's very little risk in them getting card.
And still people think that having a Madrid referee in the first leg of the Marseille match was just a coincidence. 5 yellow cards for Bayern players in a single match is not a coincidence.

I liked the combat in the Witcher but I know some people really disliked it. Basically you tap your mouse as soon as your sword hits its target, this initiates the next swing. Its kind of like a rhythm game.
The story is very good of course. Its much more interesting than DA imo. The charactersget much more development too. Witcher 1 established the choice system which the Witcher 2 has expanded upon. It was developed on an old engine though so certain parts of the game run pretty badly.

As far as I'm aware, TW2 is sort of like a Dragon Age but with real time, action game esque combat. You don't pause time like in DA, and you've got to block and parry a lot. I think.

It might be nostalgia talking, but I don't think you could play DMC with any other controller.
After a decent launch lineup for the Vita, complete with release week parity with the US for most games, it's back to normal for SCEE. No known release dates for Skullgirls or The Pinball Arcade other than 'in the coming weeks' or 'a month after the US release', respectively.

Yeah, DMC is 'my series' as it were and I could not play it with any other controller. I'd still keep my PS3 as a Blu-Ray player though but I'm really leaning towards doing my gaming on the 360. I already know for a fact that I'm going with the next Xbox next generation unless Sony come out with something that will make me cry with joy. Going by how they've been in the last few years though, I don't expect much from Sony.

My local club got deducted 5 points today for something our previous owners did :/ Now we look dead cert for relegation and it sucks! Most of our players will likely leave as they are good for our division when they want to be and our club will have to rebuild from scratch for the second year running! I only just got used to these guys :/
