I got the Dragon Age pack for Dragon Age Origin complete. I played DA:O on PS3 about 5 times, and now I got the best version with mods. I didn't expect the mods to be this interesting considering how limited ME2 mods are. People are making dungeons, retweaking the whole game, and adding visuals to everything (Improved Ambiance or something). It's a shame how DA2 turned out.

I played about 6 minutes of DA2 and it just seems horrible with the clicking to attack each time. Maybe I need to improve my mouse/keyboard action game skills. DA:O is the star though.

You can always just pause the combat. That's the great thing about DAO. Micromanaging and stuff.

Yeah I pause a lot in DA:O but for some reason in DAII it kinda motivate me to try to play real time because I have to keep clicking to attack each time. I was still on the mud mountain tutorial level so maybe when I get in the real game things will click.

Edit: Oh wow, no more gifs will be like when we lost our sigs. I'll miss them.

I've been really intrigued by this prospect of this game. I just downloaded the demo...and I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to be doing! It is so intricately detailed, with what seems to be a thousand independent options, and as a first timer to the series, I literally had no idea what or where my first step was. It really seems like it is a quality game, but in order for it to draw new players in, a game like this needs a detailed step-by-step tutorial that walks the newbie through it in baby steps.

The tutorial is good for learning the interface. To learn the game systems the best advice I can give is to watch some YouTube Let's play videos. To me the biggest hurdle to enjoy CS2 is that it's a demanding game in terms of attention. Forget other games for a week or two and commit to play it and it will reward you exponentially. Even moreso if you have some interest in the time period history.

As for sugestions for the casual offerings on Amazon I would love to buy The Book of Unwritten Tales and J.U.L.I.A. *wink wink nudge nudge*

@Tony: I see that NewEgg has a preorder deal for Diablo 3 right now.. $50 after a $10 off coupon code. Any chance Amazon will price match this deal?

Hey there,

Sorry for the delayed response!

We don't actually carry this product digitally, so I don't have any information for you about a PM. Sorry :(.

Cheers,
Tony

Voted Darkspore. Just picked up Crysis2 when it was on sale for $7.50 a couple of weeks ago, and already own Crysis and Warhead.

Voted MOH, I want Bulletstorm but screw Games for Windows Live. On an unrelated note. Amazon has the Steam redeemable Alan Wake for 20 bucks this week.

Just picked it up myself.

I am thinking, Kings Bounty Platinum and UFO Trilogy for max enjoyment from this sale, maybe replace UFO with Fantasy Wars.

Recommendations?
King's Bounty is awesome if you're into the genre. It's a sort of singleplayer Heroes of Might and Magic, with great humor, graphics and a very challenging and braintwisting difficulty. It's also pretty long, It'll last you easily over 50 hours. It's a great deal at 5 bucks.

I picked up:

A Farewell to Dragons
You Are Empty
UFO Trilogy
NecroVisioN
Konung 3
Vivisector - The Best Within

No idea if most of them are any good, but for that price................ The screenshots looked like maybe I'd like them. Now, will they all work on Win 7?

Picked up:

The Tomorrow War
UFO Trilogy
Planet Alcatraz
A Farewell to Dragons
Cryostatis
Penumbra Collectin

If anyone gets AIM and AIM 2, please post impressions when you play it. The game actually looks like it could be pretty cool but I'm holding off a bit on that one.

Man i suck but..no steamworks games..nothing for me :)

How come? I understand not wanting to have stuff on a bunch of DD services but you already have an Amazon account and their games launch straight from your desktop so just buy the game and it'll be on your desktop without having to launch other software and you can just play it whenever.

Personally I have games on Steam, GOG, Origin, Amazon and Green Man Gaming. Even if only Steam and Origin out of those require a client to play, it's still getting really difficult to keep track of which games I own and where I can download them. I'd really prefer to only have games on Steam and GOG if possible (which it's obviously not, for me).

I just launch all my games through steam mainly due to the overlay and so I don't have to click to look for the launcher.

You still have to know where they are to download them. That's my problem, launching them is fine because I can have shortcuts wherever.

Also have bookmarks for all the sites ive used on my toolbar on chrome and use lastpass for login info for instant access. IMO not exactly hard to keep track of my library. Granted I remember where I bought all my games even when I don't have em installed.

Google Docs is your friend. I got to the point where I couldn't remember what I already own. Dumped them all into a spreadsheet, tab for each service, can get to the doc from anywhere.

I just copy/pasted the games list from each service to a file, used grep/awk/sed to get out what I really need and pasted those to the spreadsheet. Took a little time, but so worth it.

Well, I can't open Steam at work. And why would I want a whole bunch of non-Steam games cluttering up my Steam interface?

I have all my DD games in one easy to use/sort place.
