In a nutshell, core SMT games are usually about a very small group of humans who command demons caught up in large scale religious warfare. Sometimes only one human is in your team, in SJ's case. Usually 2-3 at most.

I see it differently.

I see it as Atlus now as a company puts more effort in re-releases and remakes instead of original ideas.

It's actually such a refreshing change to see a new original Shin Megami Tensei from them. I am half-expecting we will see at least a dozen of re-releases and remakes first before we get a new one.

I think we should get YHVH's side first. We already have the Demi-Fiend on Lucifer's side for the upcoming war. An SMT MC should also be on YHVH's side to make things interesting.

Then the battle can happen on SMT5 with a new MC stuck in the middle!
