So then it's gonna be an Ice Climbers FPS, RPG, Platformer, and Fighting Game? All in one DISC!?

Why do you think they never made a Mirror's Edge 2?

Because Retro has already taken that concept to the N^th level.

A free-running climbing and jumping first person platformer with the option to fight along your way.

Going all Vertical Limit, leaping off mountain edges and driving pitons into the opposite cliff face while blinding snow whips all around and the edge of your ice climbing hoodie whips at your vision...

Apparently there's a Japanese Nintendo Direct simultaneous with the NoA stage conference and the EU Nintendo Direct.

@Cheesemeister3k

Extra #NintendoDirectJP at 11 pm Japan Time, simultaneous with NOA/NOE events, to cover 1st/3rd-party software.

NCL has announced an additional presentation by Satoru Iwata for Sep. 13th at 11 pm in Japan, covering the 1st and 3rd-party software lineup.

When does the JP software event start in my time zone? Click this link for worldwide times. (Simultaneous with western events.)

Where can I watch it? Right here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/nintendo_direct_wiiu_preview/index.html

I will be providing live translations here in the OP and on my Twitter feed, @Cheesemeister3k.
Will probably be the best conference of them all

Nintendo Directs have taught me that Japan always gets the best games ;(

I'm gonna have so much to catch up with after school :(

In all seriousness, you can use Nintendo Direct to find good games and pester the Western branches to get them to come over. Worked for TriG.

I'm guessing the first conference will just cover all of the features of the Wii U and not really go into any of the games. I'm cool with that.

iwata gives a presentation for a single nintendolandgame, nsmbu's miiverse features, lists old third-party ports, then in a shocking move reveals a single wiiu eshop game that looks halfway decent

"Today's events will focus on our new home console experience, the Wii U. However, we decided we should also devote some time to the Nintendo 3DS handheld system.

"The following is a presentation of several games: Paper Mario: Sticker Star; New Super Mario Bros. 2; Castlevania: Mirror of Fate; and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion. Please enjoy. *bows*"
