Don't know why I didn't think of that. Well there are some other pieces I'd like to get (as I lost the originals ) and I was thinking of getting the parts for this set.
So yeah. Probably a good time to get to grips with the site.
I could see some interesting *ahem* creations from that top one.
Note to self: innocuous links with 'this set' should be avoided while in this thread. 95% chance of leading to poverty and divorce.
Then I want to see a pincushion kind of battle ship. You press a tab than flick missiles go everywhere. I want eyes to suffer, toes to be hurt and cries heard everywhere.
You know what is sad about those pictures? Knowing they are from a Toys R Us I cant tell if that is the TRU tax or regular Canadian pricing.
That
Is
Insane!
Oh, man. I jive with Galaxy Squad. Do we know if that 700 piece set is the "flagship" of the line, or will there be a bigger one?

I just got back from LEGOLAND Florida and thought I'd share the coolest things they had there. This is a life size 100% LEGO Ford Explorer. They have a video showing how the internals are all LEGO (glued together).

My thoughts: How about some Cloud City or Dagobah or even Tatooine sets before you revisit Hoth again, hmmm LEGO?
Although this set could finally be a good recreation of Hoth, unlike 7879.
They've done Tatooine bunch of times recently with the 2 Jabba Palace sets, and desert skiff
I wonder which actually costs more, a real Explorer or the bricks to build the Lego model? I am going to guess the bricks.
And I've gone on about my desires for Cloud City sets previously.
EDIT: Go to Lego.com and watch the animated banner for LOTR video game. It is great. Lego Gimli and a Lego Cave Troll sitting on a couch playing a game. Great stuff.

So anyone workout a price for making the UCS Falcon by buying parts off the web? I don't mind doing some swaps for similar parts and thinking it could be a fun project.
I was thinking more of a new Mos Eisley set (the cantina), maybe some Jawas and Tusken Raiders. The Lars homestead would be a nice set as well.
For Dagobah, all I want is Yoda's hut (and maybe a "Jedi-training" playset).
And I've gone on about my desires for Cloud City sets previously.
Air New Zealand's christmas gift for frequent flyers pleases me. Includes their own stickers, which is a neat touch!
The other options were a portable speaker set or a skincare set. Like there was any other option I was going to pick.
And you can fill it with elves and orcs and stuff and still be accurate!
Hmm - there is a local store offering "buy one, get a second for 50%" on LOTR Lego.........

My Hayabusa arrived today!
I am torn. To leave it sealed and pristine, or to build it tonight and fix a good spot to proudly display it.

Bold it tonight and then tell us how it was. I'm still figuring out what to buy on Friday to get up to £50 for the Christmas set. I think I'm entirely up to date with everything I could want.
Title for the second thread that we're fast approaching. The LEGO Thread: Series 2
Fuck this thread, I already started collecting the minifigures, bought the X-Wing and captain America sets last weekend, my wife started laughing in the "mocking" way like thinking "really"?
Get the modulars and let her see you building them. Then show off the little touches inside as you do it. That is how I turned my wife around on it. The modulars and Tower Bridge were the sets that made her go "wow."
I look forward to your letters.
