Awesome vids.

Really enjoyed watching some Dark Tsubaki, got to say whoever kept playing the Default outfit just wouldn't give up with those damn wake up SRK's.

Got to say, I'm not sold on her new super. It's so slow it doesn't seem like you can really combo into it. From the looks of it, it looks like it's best served as pressure tool after you knock down the other person. Still Tsubaki had the worst set of super's in the entire roster in my mind so hopefully more things can come out of the new one.

Lastly the Drill Effect on the Charged S Rush attack? Fucking awesome. Can't wait to get the home console version and go to town with Tsubaki.

He definitely does have some similarities to him with his teleport-dash and links, but I think they play differently. Azrael has a bunch of different tools like a projectile, rekka, and armored moves. He also needs to apply weakness on hit opponent to setup big damage or for certain combos to work, whereas Slayer just needs a small bit of meter or a counterhit H/jH.

Is Amane's on Hazama a reference to Wriggle?
Bang's kid form also looks like Hokutomaru.
And this also means Platinum's body is actually Trinity's and not just her Nox Nyctus? Dunno too much, since I haven't played through the story or anything.
And Amane is also immortal or something? Or since it's his Astral, it just doesn't work on him or something?

And what the heck at Hakumen.

Hazama turns into Kazuma, which was his body in the phase shift novels or something. I don't know much about it

I believe Amane's astral just turns back the clock a set amount of time, which is why some people get younger and why some revert to their past selves, such as Trinity.

Hakumen turns into something called Pakumen. God knows what that is

Also the end of arcade mode heavily hints at kokonoe being playable. I don't remember the exact conversation, but she basically calls Tager and tells him to prepare something, because she's "going to handle this herself."

Also, from Hazama's ending: Celica appears

Hakumen's is Pakumen. I still don't know wtf a Pakumen is, other than it's some japanese parody of Hakumen and that's what it looks like. I wouldn't look too deeply into Platinum's, I think they're just trying to have fun with their version of midnight bliss.

She's kind of boring to play as though, so maybe that's why no one's trying her? I don't know.

Really excited for this. Hope Hakumen is a little more viable in this. I'm trying to main him but it's not coming easy.

Edit: Disregard what I said. Thought it was Tsubaki coming back but this is just awesome. I like how each and every character is expressively unique.

This game looks like a good improvement. I honestly did not like BB after CT. But this game looks like a step in the right direction, too bad it took 3 revisions to get it somewhat right. Now I am wondering if this game will debut at $60 when it hits consoles, I doubt that though.

There was one video I saw with her, but it was pretty much nothing but Makoto doing her BnBs on her for 3 minutes while Izayoi only got like 3-4 hits in.

Dunno about Saya outside of the general rumors, but as far as Kokonoe goes
there's a few lines she says at the end of any Arcade playthrough, post-credits, indicating that she's heading out herself.

The comparisons of her to 00 Raiser keep growing.

Azrael players seem to be getting stronger by the day. Seeing a lot of winning streaks and OCVs from them lately. Nothing but a constant series knockdown with weakness applied, into teleport wakeup pressure schenanigans, into massive corner carrying 4k damage combos. I'd love to see some Tagers fight him.

This game has hit a major stride in week 1. There are already competent players for all the new characters which usually doesn't happen this early. More Azarel than the other 2 but I've been studying the Bullet matches for tech as well and she has the most potential to be the standout of the new class for just pure insanity later. I'm liking those remixed themes a lot.

Nominating Jin's theme for top tier. The build up about a quarter way through is going to result in a lot of epic comebacks.

One thing I haven't seen though is using Overdrive in combo's.

I've seen people only do it by accident when they tried to burst but did it too late.

I'm guessing no one has experimented with it enough? Or maybe it's seen as not worth it.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw a Hazama player do it. But, only one person so far. :/

It also seems that among the new characters Azrael will most likely be the easiest to use. Good range, huge damage with relatively few hits.

Cant jump cancel 5B/C on block, few of his moves are much easier to punish and some other moves have shorter recovery, 623D has a some different properties, can dash cancel his stance and still get one of the followup moves, new command grab super, needs to work a bit harder than before to get his meter.

I think this game could do well next year, if it's released at the right time (late May-early June, in time for EVO)

Not as much competition in 2013 as 2012, and there's enough new stuff to justify the price tag, unlike Extend.

Bullet's is interesting, reminds me of Noel's. Azrael's is certainly gritty.

Amane's starts out great, nothing special afterward.

Might have to side with Bullet's as the best.

Litchi and Carl are bad for the same reason, and it's negative edging. You basically cannot play Carl with the default pad control scheme and Litchi would be a feat (people play her on pad by using the triggers though).
