Yeah, I avoid seeing the final evolutions, too. I love Pokemon, but I don't get feverishly hyped before a new one comes out. I can usually ignore new screens and stuff pretty easily.

And I agree with whoever said Fennekin will probably have the best final form. I'm still going with Chespin, tho.

I just ordered a DSi and Pokemon Black. It will be my first Pokemon game. I want to spend 2013 playing it and its sequel in order to be more up to speed for Pokemon X/Y

The landscapes looks flat flat flat to me. Why not add some natural elevation to your environment, Gamefreak, now that you have actual 3D to work with?

Oh, I agree, they should have went with not being stuck to 4 way movement but I'm just excited this is actually 3D and not more yucky 2D/3D pixelated mix that causes me to explode in disgust!

Why are people thinking these graphics are anything other than amazing?

Because they look kinda meh actually (to me). Not feeling it. To me it kinda looks like a lite version of DQ without Toriyama.

Just watched the trailer again and these graphics look really bad in the overworld. It looks like a DS game running on the 3DS's resolution. The frame rate looks choppy in areas too.

I really like the design of the water and fire starters though.

While it is obvious they still designed most of the maps we've seen like a 2D tile-grid, but I sure as hell hope they make use of full 360° movement. It is incredibly uncomfortable to have 4-way movement with the circle pad.

-this is the last huge nintendo project we'll see from them before they focus on saving the wii u

Pretty weird. Graphics look really DSish, but the battles and art style look pretty awesome. Can't wait to see what this looks like in 3D on a 3DS screen.

Lots of 3DS games look like this in trailer footage over the internet and it goes away on the actual console
