Show in a nutshell.

Fuck yeah. Boro time!

They're getting fancy with the direction in this. Episode certainly felt like a step above the regular fare. Gabu is surprisingly competent for the most part too. Guess he'd have to be to manage that double life.

OreImouto 06

An enjoyable episode because Imouto basically wasn't there and grandparents are awesome.

This episode is by far the best one of the whole show.

It really is. There needs to be more episodes with Manami's family, they're quite the amusing bunch. I'm just waiting to meet a nice chick to whom I can say "Let me show you my hyper-weapon!" to. XD

No I haven't. Not a film buff, but it looks kinda interesting. By Season 2, do you mean the second half of DTB or the sequel series that apparently isn't that good (haven't seen it myself, as I mentioned still have to finish Season 1)?

I mean the sequel, the second season, 流星の双子.

I happened to watch that episode. It was very nice.

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE 21

Okay, so, two things to start: First, this middle section I have been too harsh upon. As a child, I may well have found Asemu vs Zeheart a compelling story, the way I did Sora vs Riku. The other is that I cannot understate my hatred for Flit Asuno. He literally just told his son "I am not your dad." Having the grown man pilot get blushy over the newly introduced moe 12 year old mechanic girl was not the highlight of the episode.

Yeah, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why Noriko would care so much outside of the fact that he's the only guy she's met outside of Coachie.
She's fourteen years old (or was it sixteen?), and
she just realised that fighting space aliens is kind of a really fucking scary and dangerous thing to get into. Not only is she capable of dying, but that all the authority figures around her (Sumisu as her senpai) are not invulnerable. Think of it as PTSD except during war.

Gunbuster is a parable about the experiences of soldiers who go and return from conflict. I think you should keep that in mind for the latter half of the show.

Manami episode is truly the best episode, and I love the whole series more than anyone should.

Oh. Then I wouldn't understand the similarities.

When I finish my current slate, I'm gonna take a long look at my backlog and decide how to proceed. I don't want to have more than 5 shows on my viewing block at the same time. So, in addition to Cowboy Bebop, which I'm watching with my brother, I'll probably watch 4 shows, tops. I want to get back into Shin Sekai Yori, so that's one slot most likely filled. I also want to watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, but I might actually make that the show to watch with my brother after we finish Bebop, though I don't believe he's seen Ghost in the Shell, so I'll have to introduce him to that.

Fate/Zero also piques my interest. And now that I think about it, I bought Vol.2 (not Vol.1 cause I'm stupid as shit) of Steins;Gate, so I may purchase Vol.1 just cause I've already made the investment.

Been a while since I've seen a magical girl anime. I've been heavily interested in Revolutionary Girl Utena (if that counts). Also had my eye on Precure, specifically Heartcatch Precure.

There are some shows on Hulu and Netflix that I know are held in high acclaim, like Hellsing and Gurren Lagann. But those would probably stay in my backlog.

I'll worry about this more when I finish what's on my plate.

Utena should be mandatory viewing even if you don't like magical girls.

Space Brothers 41

This is turning into a different show. No more happy go lucky fun times with Mutta and his wacky faces, this is serious stuff.

This is just for Japan, right? I may hold out on Utena and wait for an American blu-ray release.
Just Japan and the US licensor has said in the past they were reluctant on doing BD releases. For cost and other reasons. It will be a while till it makes it in the US.

Senran Kagura 2: Better than ep 1 but was tat really difficult.Seing high school girls being assaulted by frogs was - in a weird/Japanese/perverted way making perfect sense. Japan what have you done to me? :/

Gunbuster 1: This shows looks good though nothing distinguishes itso far from the typic mecha anime. I'll continue it because I love mechas and it might become better later. Also, I like this kind of "vintage" art in anime

Fucking hell. May as well bite the bullet on the DVDs. Though I'll check out the first two or so episodes on their YT channel that DTL hooked me up with.

I'm really sorry, I'm one to talk but I've seen you do this twice now. There's no real point in typing out show titles in Japanese since this is an English forum and not everyone can read Japanese. Typing it out in Romaji is alot better than using actual Japanese characters. There are obviously situations where typing in Japanese is warranted but I don't see the point in busting it out randomly. At best this makes you look like a showoff and at worst it makes you look like a schmuck.

I like this trend of harassing people into watching quality anime for once.
Speaking of Utena, don't forget what's releasing on Wednesday this week!
Of course they announced that shit like two months after I finished buying the DVD remasterisation. IKUHARAAA

Define "quality anime" please. I'm not sure which kind of answer I should give to your message. and I don't want to pull a :kayos.

I assume it's more that the usual recommendations consist of shows like School Days which is, no question about it, bad. We really should get back to recommending The Laws of Eternity.

I never heard of The Laws of Eternity. I'm gonna check what it is.

Edit: I don't have time for seeing movies sadly.

But speaking of quality anime, can someone recommend me something of the quality of Mons†er? I'm yet to find a show anywhere near this one.

You mean, too adorable??
I figured you'd prefer it if it was tight up against her body, but I guess having a wardrobe that's practically falling off of her has its merits too.

I suppose so, I just feel her relationship with him was going a mile a minute. Makes me think of the Mike scene from Resident Evil 4

I did! The first six episodes anyway. You can't blame me for not trying!

Don't tell me you're putting it above The Laws of Eternity. How could you!?

I never heard of The Laws of Eternity. I'm gonna check what it is.
Don't read up about it, just watch it. Spoiling yourself ahead of time take out like 95% of the enjoyment. It's just a film so you'll only have to give about 90mins of your time towards it rather than 13~X24mins like most series.

I think anime fans should watch School Days. I just think they should know what they're getting themselves into beforehand instead of being "tricked" into watching it. It serves well as a case study of just how evil and fucked up anime can be.
