Resident Evil: Revelations is headed to 360, PS3, PC and WiiU May 21st, 2013

This guy is a right motherfucker.
This will also have Raid mode I presume?

Kind of cool I guess. I'd prefer if it were a mutated shark, travesty that Capcom didn't realise they should have sharks in the water.

The "Frankenstick" is only used for swiveling the camera -- which is easy to do simply by touching the touchscreen. The game otherwise controls like RE4, which was single-stick and worked fine. The shoulder buttons allow you to strafe, but it still uses one stick.
Both the GC version and the Wii version of RE4 used analog camera controls which is what I'm used to in these types of games. The circle pad gives you this but it still wasn't the best solution to me.

I know a lot of people really like the default control configs, especially the motion aiming but none of them clicked for me.

Looks like I'll buy it on PS3 after all.

If there was a Vita version, maybe I would finally got this console, but it's highly unlikely at this point and pretty sad too.

Definitely in for the Wii U version. Gotta get the games coming for the console. And interested to see if the gamepad brings in anything nice for it. Although i most likely will be playing with the pro pad.

Heh, the screens look rather bad but I wasn't planning on buying it full-price anyway.

Don't you mean lower than expected Revelaitons sales? Course RE6 could have been a factor as well. Or maybe the intention was always to port it.

How long have you been following Capcom, breh?

I assume that price is an error.

I will totally buy this again for $10.
Even the 3DS version isn't that low yet.

For 3DS, the current $20 asking price is fair. For the new console release I think $30 would be fair considering that it did take some effort to make the port and there's some new content.

The game isn't some simple distraction. It's a true RE game that just happens not to have a number. It's longer than RE5 (around 13 hours instead of 8 for the campaign) and has Raid mode which some people have reported playing for longer than the campaign itself. This isn't a joke game. It's not RE4 but it's a worthy title in the series.

Of course it's all speculative. My speculation is they never intended to port Revelations, and since RE6 failed expectations, they figured they could port this other, recent RE game to more systems in a short period of time to make a quick buck. Same as when RAGE bombed and then DOOM 3 BFG Edition came out of nowhere.

Wow, just wow. Should be $20. A year+ old game is being re-released for more money than it cost at launch (and it has already dropped to $20 brand new). Outrageous.

And yet yall bought RE6 and ORC for $60.

Bye.

This has kind of been my thoughts. I don't see whats so terrible about that price.
People realise the games filled with content, has brilliant pacing; music and characters; right?

Anyway the price will drop over the next few weeks. Those who don't have a 3DS will be inclined to get it full price or lesser, but no different from any other game.

Am just hoping for Revelations 2 now.
We need to know more!

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
The fact they already announced it, with trailers and screens too makes me think this could NOT be the Famitsu scoop. Otherwise, Capcom would have announced it tomorrow, around Japanese Wednesday mid-time.

They better misspell the title on the side of the box, too. No one should be expected to pay full price for correct spelling.

Comparing RE6 to ORC seems a bit much, the latter truly is a horrid game. And given I've spent around 60 hours with RE6 (Spent quite a bit of time with Mercs and Agent Hunt Mode) I think I certainly got my money's worth. Not to say that time spent with a game is an indication of a game's quality on Its own of course. People that exaggerate RE6's flaws make me sad :/ This generation's God Hand!

The funny thing is I found ORC has better controls, really.

I'm stunned it's singular. One new enemy. One.

Capcom gives no fucks.

They weren't even obligated to put in any extra content to begin with, be happy you're seeing the game at all on other platforms.

Raid mode will be there. Hunk is a playable character now.
Hunk and other characters. Implies more might be unannounced.

As a person with a 3DS Xl, and who loves, Gyroscopic controls, I have no reason for any of this business, but if it has gamepad splitscreen/gyroscopic controls (Or even Wii remote controls!) I'll double dip for the Wii U version. However, that won't happen, so eh.

Kind of a compliment to the 3DS that a spitshine port in terms of graphics is deemed viable for a retail console game.

You'd also hope the game would have 3D support on the consoles.

Yep. You could basically do a direct port to the vita, but no love.

It's been over 16 months since Capcom announced anything for Vita, and their sole release for the platform last year seems to have been more a contractual obligation to Sony than anything. Don't expect anything from them.
