Awesome sauce of a thread! :D

You should replace the pic for Pikmin 3, it's old as donkey shit. :p

Go with this!

Textures aside, this game is a feast for the eyes, DAT COLOR!

480p screens, has jaggies. Lol.

I don't get the "CoD just an annual update" bashing, but Nintendo is pumping out Mario games and spinoffs at a much faster rate.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand nor do I play FPS' (mostly because I suck at them), but it seems hypocritical; also not saying the bashing happens here, just the internet in general.

I don't know where you've been but Nintendo is getting loads of bashing. The big difference however is that the Mario games are often vastly different. You cannot possibly compare NSMB with Mario 3D with Mario Kart with Mario Sports. The NSMB series is the only Mario franchise that I believe Nintendo are truly slacking with.

Nintendo 9/10 times put out quality first-party games, which is why you don't see Mario and Zelda getting bashed as often as CoD.

CoD is everything that is wrong with this industry.

As someone who owns all the consoles the release dates for WiiU look pretty good to me, two big exclusive games per quarter more than justifies the price of the console imo, this is how i think they will release -

Q1 -

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
Lego City Undercover.

Q2 -

Pikmin 3.
Wonderful 101.

Q3 -

Wind Waker HD.
Bayonetta 2.

Q4 -

Mario U.
Mario Kart U.

I'm just gonna go ahead and inject Project Cars straight into my veins thank you very much. Wii U version for whatever they would use the gamepad gameplay wise, and PC version to make my future rig cry. >:D

I might just buy it when MH3 launches. Wanna see what all the fuss is about. Pretty sad lineup though =/

I'm not much of a Resident Evil fan so I skipped out on Revelaitons 3DS, but maybe I'll pick up the Wii U version for the sake of having something new to play. I hope Capcpom puts actual effort into the HD ports, including Wii U's.

If this really is in development I really can't understand for the life of me why. This game came out well over a year ago, another pointless port sent to die on Wii U..

I said it in the other thread, but Straight Right probably had people to keep employed, and pitched a cheap port project of HR to Square-Enix.

Your anger cannot stop it from happening.

^^

I'll add it when we know the exact title. That's why I won't add Retros title until we know anything about it.

I was mostly trolling, but you can make your own with less shit text and proper details when it's officially announced :p.

COD would get excitement instead of bashing if the games were all the same quality of COD4.

It doesn't matter how often they are out:
- MW2 is a fucking depressing piece of shit
- BLOPS looks dull
- MW3 is the valid successor to MW2 in that its more shite

BLOPS 2 looks interesting; though what I've seen makes me question how much gameplay there actually is. Online seems fun though; first for the series since COD4 it seems.

Its not the annualisation; its the fact its producing shit.

If Nintendo had announced 3D Land 2 last year; it'd get cheers, because 3D Land needs as many sequels as it can get. And I'd want DLC.

Its not just about annualisation. It is the annualisation of dullness thats the issue.

Anyway. Mario is Mr Video Game; the games hes in are very different.

You will be disappointed.

101 seems much further along than Pikmin. The last Direct showed they'd moved to just tightening the game up and tweaking things.

Based on the 3DS game I'd suggest WiiU is the best fit in terms of the controller; but who knows if they'll take full advantage of the gyro and independent screen.

In all honesty, if I wasn't a Monster Hunter whore then the early to mid 2013 lineup would be a big issue for me.

Fortunately I am, so from March through August I will be perfectly content!

I'd be worried about Bayonetta 2 if it were to release Q3 and they have barely started it now.

Bayonetta 2 is an enigma because nobody knows how far into development it is. It started on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but how much was done there? Did the game get past pre-production and prototyping before SEGA canned it? For all we know, a solid chunk of the game had started development and the design document was finalised. If that's the case they could literally go head first into production the moment Nintendo green lit the project.

I'm not optimistic about Bayonetta hitting 2013, but only because I don't want to get excited for this system and all it's software drought delayed game glory. But, if the game was nicely into development before Nintendo jumped in, a holiday 2013 release wouldn't be out of the question.

We'll see at E3 I guess.

I'm so fucking tired of Mario Zelda Mario Zelda

Lets get new games maybe another F-zero or a GOOD star fox kirby and new donkey kong games that kid Icarus game on 3ds blew my mind of what Nintendo can still do. Make some of your 2nd tier franchises move up to first tier with some good development.

Also I'd love a full blown Pokemon red blue 3d console game :)

Right. It could be extremely early in development which is why Nintendo isn't showing anything yet, or they are going to blow the lid on it at E3 and have it ready by October.

I could see both scenarios very easily.

Just let me play Wonderful 101 this year and I'll be happy.

Well, the game appeared on a rumour list where everything else was true, so there's a chance it was far enough to be ready for a reveal before being canned, maybe.

Pretty rough lineup. Hopefully I'll be on the Wii U bandwagon come summer when Pikmin 3 releases.

No but 2-3 of those four will be 2014 titles. W101 might make it for Q2 or it may miss it. I'm not convinced myself.

Don't agree at all, did you see the sales targets Iwata set at the last financial results, for Nintendo to have any chance of hitting those sorts of numbers they will need 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Bayonetta 2 all out before the end of the year.

Wonderful 101 could very well slip to Q3 but i personally think we will see Pikmin 3 in May and Wonderful 101 in June around E3 time.

3D Mario and Mario Kart will be the one-two punch to combat the 720 launch in November and December.

Project Cars .gifs steal the show wherever they go.

Looking forward to MH3U and Wonderful 101 from third parties, and most of the first party stuff. Still hoping for more announcement at E3, but I'm not sure where they would be coming from.

Is there any reason it can't ?, visually it doesn't look much, if any better than Forza or GT so even if we are working on the assumption that WiiU is the same power as PS360 those sorts of visuals should be possible on WiiU.

Im more worried about the lack of analogue triggers for a racing sim than how it looks :p.

You and me both.

Right, and that's where we can favourably argue the game had entered production. From memory (and from what I personally heard) the game had at least two planned reveals/announcements canned, including TGS. We also know it was pitched for a magazine cover (Game Informer? I can't remember who), but then pulled.

I'm not ready to say that, but I do think both will be out by next March, mirroring the Wii's 2007-early 2008.
