Man your shtick is tiring. There's always one guy like you. I bet you're drooling all over tired Mario gameplay while taking a big steaming dump in this thread, am I right? Say hi to the rest of the banned fanboys when you get there. If you don't care for it, fine, but stop jamming up the thread with this pablum, please?
I played this today at PAX, finally decided to put in the lineup time to get access. I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet. It is tense as hell, but a show floor is a pretty poor way to experience such a game. Their booth layout at least isn't the "black box" design, you can watch other players go through it while waiting, which I really appreciate. I do think the listen mechanic is for people who don't have good surround sound. Headphones seemed to be an absolute must in this scenario. Maybe there will be a top level function to disable it.
It feels a bit like Uncharted once the actual combat kicks in but there is definitely a multiple-path approach happening, which made me want to replay sections (which I couldn't obviously). I do think Arne has a point in not relying on old game mechanic tropes, although at the same time I do have to smirk a bit at "you're playing it wrong".
For pre-alpha gameplay (as labelled on the title screen), it sure seemed awfully polished. And the clickers are just straight up fucking disturbing.
