I'm down. I don't get to play with Gaf much because you guys are mean.

Just kidding kinda.

But seriously, I'm down.

Hit me up, it would be a nice change of pace to play with people that I internetknow.

Hey you turds add me on XBL for some halo 4. I'm not an asshole like my Internet persona.

GT is sltyPoison

But for real, I am actually a really nice person. My best friend actually asked me the other day, "why are you such an asshole on the Internet?" I felt bad :/

If I'm about, hit me up.

Send me a FR, GT: Deadly Cyclone

Warher, Ex, you guys be on tomorrow night?

Wow, Anniversary is still incredibly fun. I wish BTB would have stayed in though. Then again, there probably wouldn't be anybody playing it :/

Would anyone be interested in Anniv customs?

Anniversary BTB was pretty popular and I haven't touched Reach since it was taken out. It was the best playlists in the game. They might as well rename regular BTB to Heavies.

I'm a high school senior. However, the local college whose campuses span pretty much the whole county have a "collegiate high school" program that has students earn both a high school diploma and an AA degree by going for three years (sophomore to senior) while attempting to take elements from both school systems. It's pretty young - I think it's only 11 or 12 years old. The first year essentially crams your entire high school diploma's workload into a sophomore year, while the junior and senior years have you taking the college courses on campus necessary for your major as well as a mandatory 300 minutes of "Research" (which is essentially a study hall) a week, generally split up into four 75-minute periods in order to meet the hourly requirements of high school. There are a few other snags like a huge "capstone presentation" in your senior year designed to get you some experience in your career field that spans pretty much 75% of your senior semesters, but the benefits like the free two years of college and having Fridays off are completely worth it.

We have high school events like a yearly dance and even extracurricular clubs (though minor) but the kids are mostly just asthmatic sheltered manbabies. I've never heard of prom in college either, and I'm the dude that popularized the term Prom Knight.

On-topic: I know people are clamoring for Halo 2 2 or Combat Evolved 2, but I'd really rather them just condense the good parts of the original trilogy into a game rather than end up pulling another 2 + Reach = 4.
Aye, makes sense. I think there was something similar back at my high school with the local community college.
My girlfriend goes to a Music college and they're having a Prom on Sunday. Apparently its a drunken shitshow so should be fun

All of the DLC BTB maps were amazing. After I fixed the weapon spawns on Highlands it became one of the best maps ever. A Highlands/Timberlands/Headlong playlist would make my nutbladder break.

1-50 ranks are sooo good. i know they aren't in game, but it's not as bad as i thought it would be. why did you wait so long to do this? :(

So here's the story with the Kevin Franklin interview. I'm re-recording it in a bit. It's going to be bigger, longer and uncut.

There's a joke about me being Kevin Franklin in there somewhere.

So, people hate asymmetric maps with symmetrical gametypes. By extension do people hate asymmetrical gametypes on symmetrical maps?

They actually wanted to include more product placement. Work it in real nice like.

"Oh that was funny I almost spit out my, INCREDIBLY REFRESHING CITRUS FLAVORED MT DEW, a pepsicola product, Tashi!"

"Sorry if there's too much background noise, I'm eating some Doritos brand party chips!"

I do, which is why I hated playing 1 Flag or 1 Bomb on Coagulation. Shit is out of control. Just make it Neutral Bomb/Flag.

It feels like you're only playing half a game that way, but at least it's a functional half game, which is more than I can say for symmetrical gametypes on asymmetrical maps.

There were quite a few 1-sided gametypes on maps like Valhalla. I don't really like it though because half of the map goes unused.

I think this would be a good general rule of thumb:

Asym gametypes on Asym maps
Sym gametypes on Sym maps and some asyms

Hmmm. I have some more info up on the blog, but I have a few modified versions of existing gametypes (such as an all Capture the Core version of Invasion, essentially making it Big Team One Flag) in social that would be asymmetrical gametypes on symmetrical maps. Given that there are only 5 Extra Large 16v16 maps, though, should I just make them a mix of asymmetric and Certain Affinity-styled "functionally symmetrical" maps instead?

Because it was bothering the heck out of me.

Actually there were some questions that Kevin couldn't quite answer (for whatever reason) so now in this one, all questions will be answered.
After the fact can you say which questions?

Permanently hungry for any tidbits that could be used to reason out the process at 343.

Battle Canyon is now officially my favorite
recent
Halo map.

Spartan III armor still looks great. Man, I miss things like pouches and arm braces.

Yeah why do two interviews? Sounds like bullshit censoring to me.

The first one was flat and lacked energy. Literally, he is now asking ALL the same questions again - and actually getting more and better answers.

We have recorded plenty of internal podcasts that were too boring to air, but we didn't want to just cancel and not give Tashi a chance to get a better one. This one is AMAZING we are talking about 19th century Impressionism.

Tashi is free to dish.
