One thing that disappointed me in the demo was the graphics. I don't know if it was my imagination but it seemed like there was some weird filter on top that made the textures look grainy and less sharp

There was a guy on 4chan earlier that had this (he really had it, photographic proof) that said it was awesome but he watched somebody complete it in 6.5 hours. It was on easy though. That's a bit disappointing, though this seems like a game where the gulf between easy and hard will be VERY wide, in terms of difficulty and required play style, so take it for what it's worth.

There was a ton of subtle things in the demo, like the skin shaders and all those little reflections, and the flashlight being able to light the rain drops, a day-time demo would probably look more impressive though.
any unlockable content is a spoiler for people that arent looking for that info in this topic (that is about the demo).
you shouldn't get to make that decision and it takes two seconds to spoiler text.

Do we have a multiplayer thread for this game yet? I think it would be fun to hear what everyone thinks it is going to be like now that we have a bit of info to speculate on. Surely it will be announced in a couple days no?

Don't read if you don't want hypothetical spoilers, nonetheless this is what I have inferred from the information even though I havent read any real spoilers yet.
Ellie is the only one who has epilogue gear. Joel is going to die, I don't know how but its gonna happen in this game and I bet we will play an hour at the end as Ellie, I had a hunch after thinking back to the young drake sections in Uncharted anyway. Also everyone keeps saying that the trailer has spoilers but they are doing everyone a bit of a disservice imo because I saw that trailer long before this demo came out and I know damn well the last shot is of Ellie firing a bow and arrow.
If I'm right or wrong, I dont wanna know.
Anyone? I've got a dummy account completely set up, so I can PM the details.

Anyway, I have high hopes for coop but hopefully competitive will be a pleasant surprise.
It doesn't say anything. I saw new names and things like xxxx - Young, so maybe a skin for xxxx on MP, kinda like Young Sully?

Anyone know if there will be a co-op mode. Pretty sure its a yes, given that there are two main characters.
I guess he was playing run and gun lol. Several journalists mentioned that it took them around 15 hours to complete the game. And that's without finding the collectibles.
They've confirmed that the story mode will not have any form of co-op. You don't get to play as the young teen girl, I'm afraid.
Online may be a different story, however.

Haha fair enough man as long as I don't know the specifics I'm sure the artistic masters at ND will blow my expectations out of the water even if these assumptions come to fruition.
I thought that the case was, you log into the dummy account, put in the Ascension disk, and activate the download client's download. That way the client is in the download history of that account, and therefore can be accessed from one other PS3 (two others, if you deactivate the account on your PS3 after adding the client)
Do you still need the Ascension disk after you have the download client?

Nope, only need Ascension to download it and then it can be launched without disc from the XMB. I rented GoW from Redbox and returned it already.
So then sharing through a dummy account should work.

Again, it doesn't really spoil anything besides some speculation. Thank you for pointing out you ignored me, which adds nothing to the discussion.
I don't know why it wouldn't. I've heard that you have to attempt to connect to multiplayer for the download option to appear, but that you don't need to have an online pass to make the attempt. So downloading to a second account should be possible.
But, I'll be patient. I'll remind you to remind me to bug you tomorrow.
...unless someone else is willing to share earlier than that?

I think the lesson has been learned.
Even when things are just speculation spoiler tag them anyway, every time someone points out something they think is foreshadowing or posts something that may be a spoiler but its a tiny piece of info that needs context it just gives me one more dot to connect and every day the picture becomes a bit clearer.
That being said I think I'm gonna leave this thread now

You probably failed to read my previous post, but I said it didn't register as spoilers to me nor has it even hit me that it could be spoilers because that's not even the full list.
So to assume I left it there so that people can just judge it as spoilers or not is just presumptuous. Now that's unsurprising.

I know you were sensitive to my post yesterday but why is speculation not allowed? I have no idea what to expect but I just pointed out something that struck me as odd. Posting actual spoilers is too much but speculation is just that. I mean, how many have guessd certain plot points just after the first reveal? How about for the Last Guardian when everyone assumedI think the lesson has been learned.

Of course you can connect the dots. You can do that on your own without someone else chiming in if you have enough imagination and have experienced enough of these types of stories. But it doesn't mean any of them will happen.
I've been developing a story to become a novel and something I've been struggling with is verbal audiences calling "the twist" and being turned off if comes to pass. I think that even if it is predictable, the experience should still be rewarding. If I guess that character A dies, why should that hinder my enjoyment?
I'm still confused as to why you would post a huge list with spoilers, and NOT say what it is. I mean, seriously? C'mon man.

I don't doubt that I'm going to get WAY more than 6 hours out of it. On hard you'll have to play at a deliberate pace. Plus I'm a tourist anyway, it took me 10 minutes just to enter the building in the demo. I'm going to absorb every cubic centimeter of this world.
