Who has the best three musketeers: Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft?

Obviously,

Nintendo, not even a contest. Reggie brings them down, but then they have Iwata and fucking Miyamoto.

OP needs to edit the thread and call it 5 musketeers. Add Phil and Major Nelson for MS. Cerny and Boyes for Sony. No idea who else for Nintendo.

Nintendo for the charisma, consistency and for being responsible of some of the most important games of our time.

Sony have ways to go, mostly because whatever these guys are doing has yet to get into the hands of the player, but this "trio" is a recipe for greatness. Let's see how that pans out in the long run.

Microsoft have guys who are bad at conveying a message or just come up with flat out stupid decisions that they easily backtrack on.

Should be Cerny not Tretton in the OP.

I'd say Nintendo, with Sony right up there with them. Reggie has definitely gotten worse over the years while Iwata has been much better. And Sony has improved so much.

Certainly isn't MS, all three of them look like massive douches. Canned suits.

certainly not Microsoft.

It is a toss up for me between Nintendo and Sony. Nintendo has a great legacy with their 3, but they seem sooooooo far out of touch at times, and Reggie is not that likable to me. Meanwhile Sony guys don't have the same legacy but seem a bit more connected with their fanbase, with Yoshida even being very active on twitter.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Sony. They're all listening to the right things, right people, and investing in the right areas. Having Cerny on board, people like Boyes, and Yosp just fucking understanding the game industry so completely puts them at that level beyond.

Nintendo's lot are either apologising or continuing to drag their feet. Iwata and Miyamoto did some great stuff back in the day, but its really time for them to get out the way of the next generation of Nintendo's innovators and would-be leaders.

And Microsoft is full of androids that barely seem human most of the time.

Is this a real question? Nintendo.

[edit]Nintendo's could be Miyamoto alone and it would just still be Nintendo.

Nintendo has some legendary people driving their business. They are no joke, though their development issues this generation are starting to tarnish their image a bit. They are still absolutely some of the best in the industry.

But Sony has done a fantastic job of filling up SCEI's leadership with people who actually know what they're doing. The increased spotlight they are giving to SCE veterans like Yoshida and House is nothing but a great thing.

At this point Microsoft is the only one with leadership that continue to demonstrate how out of touch they are with the gaming audience.

The only people I actually think are good on that list are Yoshida and Miyamato. The rest I couldn't care less for.

Andrew house and Jack Tretton are still up and coming though, but Yoshida is more down to Earth and less business executive suit.

Iwata is...okay. I have no mixed feelings on the guy. I mean he did lead the wii to the success that it is, but I don't think hes cut out for the position. Miyamato is genius. Probably the strongest person on the list.

Reggie is a doofus. Almost as annoying as Don on the list, but I personally hate both Reggie and Don. I would put Tretton in the same vote if he wasn't so conservative all the time. Seeing years of praise of Reggie for doing absolutely nothing when people like Iwata and others did all the work is disgusting. Hes nothing more than a figurehead and a shitty one at that. Only the one fans will grope and love all day.

The same could be said about Kaz but hes become the CEO of Sony Corporation and no longer is representative of the gamer, but an entire media conglomerate. I always found the Reggie love to be more disgusting though since it was more precedent than Kaz was for years, and Kaz was more or less a joke since E3 2006. That and I never see Kaz gifs outside of Neogaf where "My body is Reggie" is on almost every drone forum. Seriously, if I venture onto the official Playstation Community boards nobody knows or cares about Kaz.

So it comes down to a hard decision. I know that Yoshida is making a considerable change in SCEW, and its prevelant. Hes also accustomed to replying to tweets and is a gamer that loves to socialize with other gamers. I don't know much about Tretton (he has been more down to earth recently in most of the press conferences) and Andrew House ( I honestly never heard of him before 2012).

Miyamto on the other hand is responsible for alot of great games for producing, directing, and developing characters that led to re-establishing the industry.

If it were just one individual based on history it would be Miyamato. Based on current affairs Yoshida.

Overall, given the confusion with Nintendo's current direction and Sony's clear cut forward understanding with the consumer and the respective individuals work.

I'm going with Sony.

Nintendo by far.

Miyamoto is a legend and Iwata developed games as well. Reggie is better than most of the suits MS or Sony have.

I do like the new face of Sony though.

Nintendo is the answer, but Mark Cerny is a goddamn hero, that's for sure.

And I have immense respect for the fact that out of the entire thread, he's the only person (besides Miyamoto & Iwata) who's there because he likes video games. The rest were 19 year old business majors once upon a time with dreams of becoming CEOs of whatever company or industry would have them. 19 year old Cerny, on the other hand, created Marble Madness.

Video Games are a creative medium, and you can really see the difference between projects put forth by creators (which is part of why Nintendo has always had so much soul) and those put together exclusively by marketers.

Uh, no true. Mattrick co-founded Electronic Arts Canada (as Distinctive Software) as a 17 year old.
