It's an apples and oranges comparison though. Naughty Dog is literally 10 to 15 times bigger, iirc, than Team Ico. Doesn't excuse their lack of output and inefficiency though.
HD development caught them off guard and they're only catching up recently. Hopefully they can turn it around and deliver for PS4.

I wouldn't worry too much. There's never been anything confirmed about dates so as long as you keep your expectations tempered, you will be happy come next week as there will be much more clarity than there is now.

Honestly this is kinda why I don't bother with putting any excitement or disappointment in 'insiders' info. This actually means nothing to us as people who don't know what was going to be shown before. I am definitely looking forward to the explanation, but it's gonna be what it's gonna be, and they're hyping it up.

I don't see that as an impossibility. The focus will be launch though. I just don't think there's anything that's been said that will mislead anyone into thinking things are getting pushed back so Sony hasn't backed themselves into a corner.
All I need for the rest of the year is a release date and some BF4 in sweet, sweet 60 fps.

Everything pushed back, to playstation blog and playstation access the day after of course, so they can announce half life 3 and shenmue 3 as launch title with a 20 minute trailer each and then 20 minutes of Jack Tretton listing all of the places the PS4 will be launching....Tomorow! before throwing the mic over his shoulder and doing a dance number with that girl from the gif earlier katee whatever her name was.

The easiest way to announce something is with CG clips, but my guess is Sony are uber-paranoid about showing CG clips, for reasons 1) because of the PS3 launch and 2) because they don't effectively show the difference between the One and PS4 games.

Lol. I hear ya. I still have to bother to finish ACIII. I mean it's not really good, but, I did pay for it. Just seems rather hard to want to bother.
Unfortunate to hear this, but I'm glad The Last Guardian is back on track.
Thankfully, it sounds like it is solidifying my justification for a PS4 purchase in late 2014.
