I'm excited for the game, but a bit nervous about how the servers are going to be and if there will still be problems like the 90000 error. D:

I wonder what they mean by hidden fates... Are they referring to the FATEs where you have to talk to a NPC to start? I wouldn't really call that hidden, though. :p

If I was in your situation I would have broken down and preordered another copy. I preordered the PS3 version despite having legacy... mostly for the bonus items but being able to play downstairs on my PS3 is a nice perk.

Someone said there are wandering enemies like Odin. So maybe that.

Nope. Last night I noticed my members account was set to English (UK) so I changed it to English (NA) and it also says I reside in the United States. I still received an EU code.

If you get the Error 3: Try again later thing then you didn't make it through, even if the game shows up on the members site, AFAIK. I just kept putting mine in and getting Error 3 over and over until it went through and gave me a 20 digit code (which ended up being for the wrong region.)

At some point I actually did edit the preferred language from EU to US. I don't remember if it was before or after getting the RAAE code.

Oh maybe yeah. That'd be kinda cool just stumbling upon Odin without anything appearing on the map.

I miss stumbling across regular NMs. Like the 1.0-style where they respawn after like 5 minutes, not the FFXI style where they take hours to respawn.

Yeah I heard there's certain bosses which roam around in the open maps, Odin is supposed to be a roaming Primal, apparently. A bit like RF online.

If Square can't even get the preorder registration to work, logging into the live servers will be one huge shit fest. And, yeah, I too haven't been able to register with my GMG code all day.

i've been trying to get my pre-order code to work since 4am PST...

It's been 16 hours and it still doesn't work.

Their offical word is "please wait and try again later". When you try again is at your discretion. I got a 20 digit key, albeit it's the wrong region. People are getting the right region tho.

Thanks for the update all. Guess I'll wait till tomorrow. Why is square actively trying to stop me from playing this game! First error 3102 and now error 3 :-( bad juju

That is not how they said it. They said they are adding additional bandwidth. Cool to see how lenient some people are with these megadevelopers that want money from them.

They said during the live letter that the plan was to go straight to regular release. They weren't even planning on having the servers go down or anything, I guess we'll see if that holds up with all the issues they've been having.

also, how much is the subscription fee again? i remember the last time, the longer subscription (3 months? 6 months?) gets a cheaper per month fee

Square-Enix ditched the Click&Buy payment method at the end of July. I assume we're going to just be able to make recurring payments straight from debit/credit cards.

It's also equally entertaining to watch people force their way through these mishaps and then turn around and complain about it not yielding the results they desire.

Sure it's been asked a thousand times, but you don't need an early access code if you've been doing the beta, and have the 1.0 CE, correct? Just log in Saturday and go?

This thread has been a real downer to be honest. It has really kind of soured me a bit on the game. I had to step away from this thread multiple times. I am not expecting some circle jerk but some of the comments in here over the last 5 days have reminded me why I never read MMO forums. MMO forum poster itis has crept into here big time.
