If you did not get the 20 digit code on-screen immediately after registering the 18 then it didn't go through.
So aside from the issues we're all having, is anyone else excited? I'm excited for the hidden FATEs at launch.
Mine didn't show up on screen - I got it in an email about 3 hours later.

I'm excited for the game, but a bit nervous about how the servers are going to be and if there will still be problems like the 90000 error. D:
I wonder what they mean by hidden fates... Are they referring to the FATEs where you have to talk to a NPC to start? I wouldn't really call that hidden, though.
One possible reason I can see for the codes being EU instead of NA [and vice-versa] is the "Preferred Language" setting in your "Square-Enix Membership" account.
If it's set to "English (UK)" the website will automatically route you to the Europe Square-Enix Membership page and if it's "English (NA)" it'll route you to the North American version. Perhaps those having been issued NA/EU by accident have their language setting(s) set incorrectly and, thus, when redeeming/logging into your Membership account to redeem the code, the site "sees" that you're located in a region that you're not and gives you the code for the improper region?
I noticed this earlier today when I logged in and noticed I was logged into "eu.square-enix.com" website despite living in North America. After changing my language from (UK) to (NA) it now logs me in correctly to the "na.square-enix.com" website.
Well this is crazy because I never receive the 2nd email after i input my 18 digit code in yesterday. >.< Should I wait or reach out to them ?

Is anyone able to get their amazon preorder code to work? I keep getting error 3. I just got home from work are they aware of this issue?
I just tried to register my promo code from amazon and getting:

Their offical word is "please wait and try again later". When you try again is at your discretion. I got a 20 digit key, albeit it's the wrong region. also, how much is the subscription fee again? i remember the last time, the longer subscription (3 months? 6 months?) gets a cheaper per month fee

That is not how they said it. They said they are adding additional bandwidth. Cool to see how lenient some people are with these megadevelopers that want money from them.

Square-Enix ditched the Click&Buy payment method at the end of July. I assume we're going to just be able to make recurring payments straight from debit/credit cards.
