i was excited for this game
No the first trailer was IN ENGINE but not CG. It was a tech demo but now the game is online and you know actual gameplay. It was bound to get worse but it still looks amazing.
No. That looked like a Vita game.

I'm just wondering. Sony could have given advice and some of their software engineers to help capcom create a game for their console but the key team, art designer, gameplay designers, director and the creative team is help by Capcom.
Instead of funding the exclusivity with cash they do it with human resources.
That would require a weak contractual position from Sony and ignores the fact that PS4 is developer friendly.
Anyway, I probably will have a PS4 before a virtual XB1 delayed release.

Paying for FFXV would be expensive and kind of pointless considering the vast majority would buy it on PS. It will still be a system seller but obviously not as big as one if it were exclusive.

That's because it is. The fact that it's playable and they are actually allowing the public to get their hands on it already is a good sign though.
Seriously, TheKayle and you are going to look quite silly in a short while when people compare HQ direct feed footage of the gameplay from today against that awful looking trailer a few weeks back.

I'm a singleplayer guy myself, but the comparison isn't very good. If you don't like online-only, avoiding particular games leaves you lots more to play than avoiding every single game that comes to the console.Good thing that we dodged that Xbox DRM bullet, right guys?

1 - I don't know what the heck you were watching, but the graphics looked incredible.
2 - The first trailer was not CG.

And that's fine. I don't enjoy that play style, so i have accepted those games aren't for me. There are hundreds of other games.
Fire FX looked the same, it's just that they didn't focus on it like in the first reveal. The dragon looks identical to me.

Very true, but that is little consolation when most big next-gen titles is online only. I see a clear trend and I don't like it one bit.

That's the thing. We only can say what it appears to be, but we won't actually know what it actually is in full until we see more of it. Not just any game attempting to mimic either of those games is necessarily guaranteed to succeed. The no sp for this kind of game probably took it off my radar, barring the game looking a lot more interesting to play once we get some better footage. So the game can still sell me, but that snippet I saw wasn't enough.
Yea, there was a dragon, and some fight on what looked like a small flight of stairs, but beyond that, I need to see some more. A dragon's presence isn't instantly "omg awesome." It depends on what fighting that dragon is actually like.

Dude, the stream was so crappy. How can you say that... LOL. I'm not entirely convinced of the game itself, but there's no way we can really judge the game's graphical muscle based on that stream.

That's exactly why I'm personally hyped. That could have incredible potential if the gameplay is really high quality. Souls gameplay with Diablo type treasure hunting would be game of the generation for me.

I get the impression that the dragon was made in this next gen engine and now they want to make a game around this. This demo looks great, but this game was shown way too early, like a tech demo gone haywire.
The translator during the conference translated it with "unique for the PS4". Maybe the original japanese was a bit clearer.
Yeah, I know, that's why I said I can't wait to see more. I'm just saying based off of.... No, screw it. I'm also saying that it's my GOTY. The gameplay looked spectacular. Some of the best I've ever seen. It really breaks boundaries. This is an exclusive full review.

I really liked the music used in the trailer...I think the game looks cool. Not digging the forced online, but I have to say, it's looking impressive so far.
The 720p footage released on Youtube looks great, I think with some ironing out (it's not going to be released for a while) and actual footage vs. youtube, it's going to look really beautiful.
