I would suggest someone just simply PM EviLore about it and see if it's okay to start a new thread with some warnings in the OP about what not to do in the thread.

RIP in peace. I didn't visit often but I don't see what was wrong with that thread. Apart from maybe a few Miley Cyrus GIFs everything was relatively tame. Much worse stuff in tons of other threads.
Also, didn't the people (or person) who talked about sex on the LGBT thread get banned? No point in going "delete them too" and destroying more communities over a few people who already got punished. Speaking of that, I don't understand why people in the LGBT thread aren't able to talk about sex. There's plenty of straight guys doing it all over OT going in crazy depths of their experiences. I asked earlier when they started enforcing it but never got a clear answer. It'd make sense if all of OT were also subject to the "no sex talk" rule but I never see any straight posters get banned or warned about it.

Why would anyone need to show proof? Yeah it sucks that a subcommunity got closed, but honestly if it gets to the point where the OWNER straight up deletes it as opposed to locking it, you know some shit has gone down. That's all. You'll just have to deal.
The only person banned in that thread was the ALT ACCOUNT that was permmed before because they were always talking about sex.
2nd the actual person that has been posting links to his personal porn collection has NOT been banned.
Most likely the images since Evilore said sexually explicit.

Other people in this thread who aren't even a member of PopGAF are looking through archived versions of the thread and also are unable to see a problem. So this is my point - if we get some clarification on what the problem was specifically we could avoid it in the future.

Not familiar with PopGAF, but I find it hard to believe no one knows/has a clue why Evil would have to shut you guys down. I'm sure if he felt you needed an explanation or a warning he would have given one.
That being said, it would be nice for the rest of us to know what the transgressions were so other communities know what to keep out.

If an entire community thread gets shut down in it's 6th iteration for a very vague and rushed reason, it better be explained. After thousands of posts from dozens of active members, the moderation team at least owes that to the thread members. Popgaf is no stranger to being locked, entire pages being deleted, members being banned in the dozens at one time... and all of that has been explained and discussed.
What the fuck could literally be so bad that the thread has to be deleted immediately and never spoken about?

You don't know what is happening behind the scenes though with image hosts, advertisers, all that sorta stuff. You might think it's all kosher but only the admins can really tell?
If it seems random and arbitrary in terms of enforcement it's because it's not originating from my end, but from the internet censorship squad. Just the way things have to be, and we get more attention as the site expands, but it's the cost of doing business and keeping the site free. Thanks for understanding.

Oh I agree something happened, but not something that the members of the community had any control over.
Or probably just a delayed reaction. Evilore nuked the old Rock Band OT after months and hundreds of pages of shit. Doesn't mean something new happened, just something continuous.

I just woke up, did my normal sweep search going from gaming, off topic, and subscriptions.. . And I don't see PopGAF. "Hmm", I said.
I then searched for it and the only thing that popped up was "RIP popgaf".. Then I find out it was deleted for sexual content.
Now I'm mildly upset because, I've only been on gaf for a couple of months and I'm trying t figure out how a community of people that only talk about pop music from all various amount of artist, loves to battle each other, put up funny gif reactions, earn stars for great reviews that sometime takes up the whole page, gets shut down compared to all the recent threads I have read such as the OK cupid thread where people talk about "Fucking chick's" and acting like players, or the random "I'm 20 now gaf" thread that people were suggesting to the person to be a great fucker before 21 or the notorious "I get random boners all the time" thread that was possibly the most unproductive stupid thread ever that got to be made and still exist which has absolutely nothing to do with anything important.
I thought gaf was a community that at least allowed people to have their own bubbles of amusement even if it didn't resonate with the entire community. Obviously I was wrong. Some are better than others even if they are worst. I guess it is time for me to make my "I get wet all the time" thread. I'm just disappointed right now.
