Grand Theft Auto V |OT2| <Title available for purchase>

What's wrong with them, and how are they different from IV (been too long since I played that game to remember)? I haven't really had any issues.

They are wobbly. it's like jello(the best thing i can think of). You can't fly one in a straight line. The controls ate abysmal compared to GTA4.

What is the Orange Skull icon? I drove to it, but I don't see anything around. Not really sure what I'm looking for.

It's for Trevor only, the activities on the map are colour coded for the characters

Green = Franklyn
Orange = Trevor
Blue???? = Michael(can't remember Michael's colour)

Tennis is really fun to play. I suck at golf though lol

Golf is pretty easy once you take several factors into consideration.

1) What you see is what you're going to get for the most part. Meaning if you hold R2 to preview where your shot is going to go, it's going to go there if you hit the drive at full power or close to it. Wind plays a role but not nearly as much as most normal golf games.

2) When the ball is in the air you can mash the spin button (I think it's point the stick in the direction you want + X on PS3) and when the ball lands it'll usually bounce in the direction you pointed it. This is pretty overpowered compared to most golf games which only let you use spin during the swing, which I always felt was tough to do both at once. It really works if you think you're going to overshoot the pin, you can make it stop and sometimes even roll back.

3) Putting is a joke compared to normal golf. There's hardly any uneven ground on any of the 9 greens so if you line the marker up with the hole and hit the yellow mark on your swing you'll likely always make it.

All that being said I enjoyed my first and only round so far. It was pretty cool getting in the golf cart and driving out to the ball after every shot while watching the city go about its business outside of the fence. Really..."immersive" as people here would say. I think golf will be a lot more fun when you're able to play real people when Online launches.

I tried Trevor's first rampage that was at a ? icon and got demolished like 3 times. Not sure how to approach those missions.

Use his special ability a lot. It replenishes pretty fast.

I just went around the cabin and took cover behind a dumpster. I also use a lot of explosives.

Aren't they the rampage missions which only trevor can do?

Yes.

Rampages make a big return in GTA V. They've been brushed aside for so long I can't remember the last game I attempted one.

I was stoaked to see RAMPAGE flash across the screen with Trevor flipping out after randomly encountering some jackasses.

cover.

If i recall , the first rampage mission is at
some gas station or something like that out in the wilderness. Basically there is a ladder on the side of the building, just climb that and they shouldnt gang up on you so easily.

I had a really sad experience as Franklin. I switched to him, and Lamar was antagonizing the cops. I got tazed repeatedly and couldn't ever get up, and about five cops just circled me and fired their pistols into my constantly tazed body. It honestly felt kind of absurdly real after some recent news stories.

Also, the second Nigel mission is hilarious and amazing...I couldn't believe it!
Driving through the hospital was jaw dropping to me!

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
What is the reward for all golds at the shooting range?

Also do I have to medal them all with every character to get the 10% discount?

Can we still dial 911 to get cops to our location? Had a lot of fun with that in IV, instigating shootouts between cops and other NPCs or getting people arrested

I thought the rampage had Trevor's ability for the whole duration because the screen had the same effect

The cops are kinda bothersome :|

I only killed two people and they're already on my ass. Really hard to shake them off

It's really easy in this game, as soon as the map stops flashing just go hide in a corner or behind a building/in a garden.

As soon as you get out of range, switch cars. After that, you can drive through their cones without them getting realerted.

Does the amount of money you get from robbing stores and security vans vary depending on how much cash you have on you? Because the amount of money you get seems really low. Just a few hundred dollars for robbing a store? Barely worth my time.

However this does bring me to something cool that happened today. I robbed a store and then about an hour later I came back to the same store. I went in there unarmed and the guy behind the counter just said "Hey I know you!" and started shooting at me. He remembered that I robbed him earlier. Mother of god. Better AI than I expected. This is the kind of thing most games overlook. It's just that Rockstar attention to detail.

Now for a moment significantly less impressive. I saw a guy at an ATM machine. I figured this was a good chance to get some quick money. Wait for him to take his money out and then kill him taking his money. He continues pressing buttons on the ATM machine.......continues pressing buttons on the ATM machine......continues pressing buttons on the ATM machine. I stood there for several minutes waiting for him to finish. He never did. That right there is the opposite of the good AI that remembered I robbed his store. This guy doesn't even know what he's doing at the ATM machine. Sigh. I expect better from Rockstar for this kind of thing.

The emergency services are in your contact book.

In some areas, where some of the gangs hang out in Los Santos, the gang members open fire on police even if they aren't being antagonized. Sometimes it spontaneously happens, and you're watching a gang street fight occur.

The game has everything. The only thing I'm waiting to see is if I can get carjacked.

Regarding the wanted level thing, from what I read in the previews, there is this 24 hour (in-game) thing that cops can still recognize you and will pursue you. Is that still in the game?

You can? I always seem to get noticed.

And I wish there was a way or tool to use to break into cars without smashing the window. Would add to sense of being more discrete and having a shattered window while trying to stealthily evade cops in a stolen car feels off.

No, you just need to wait until the Wanted level stars have stopped flashing to evade them and they won't come back.

Yeah, did this last night, caught totally by surprise. Marked it as a point of interest, will go back later to see if it's still there, post mission.

I made my Trevor look closely as Hunter S Thompson because that guy was hilarious, paranoid neurotic and badass at the same time.

You can get carjacked. Its been a thing since Vuce City and it almost happened to me after the first mission

Random:
Bird flew into the rotors (helicopter) and got shredded. Blood everywhere.
<3 GTA 5.
While flying the passenger jet one of the engines sucked in a bird (or something) and it caught on fire. I made an emergency landing at the airforce base and was climbing into the jet fighter cockpit as a sniper round connected with my dome. Sooo close.

Hopefully for the next game they'll go one step further with the wanted system and make it so that the police only come if there is a witness to your crime that dials 911. It's kinda lame that just for knocking someone out when there's nobody else that can even see it will still result in the cops coming. Once I even just punched a hiker to death on top of a mountain with nobody else anywhere close to my location to know about it but I still got a wanted star. The police obviously couldn't get to me way up on the mountain but still you get my point.

The knife in V is so much better than the knife in IV. The sprinting stab attack just feels brutal.

The level of detail is so good. Car got smashed by a train and flipped down a cliff into the highway. I get out and there's blood on my arms and a cut and blood on my face.
