Incoming PokeBomb: New Evolution Dropping Wednesday

so when do we usually get to see the entire Pokemon roster? When does it usually leak?

Well for previous games, we'd get a leak about a week or two before the game's Japanese release.

Due to the worldwide release, I'd probably give it another week or two until the big retailers get the game/reviewers get copies. We probably won't see a full dex leak, rather a gradual trickle of info as people play through the game.

Aye. Well, I'm a fan of most generations, but I loved what Gen IV did to the existing roster. Lots of really cool evolutions there.
Meh probably my least favorite gen. The original poke designs were very vanilla. The extension pokemon I liked were Bonsly, Mime Jr., Munchlax, Bonsly, Budew, Roserade, Togekiss, Yanmega, Gallade, Mantyke, Weaville and Gliscor. Predominately I guess the 1st gen extensions felt uneccesary. Now that we have mega evolutions I wish they had held off on giving those evolutions.

Now that I think about it I wish they'd simplify things and get rid of the stupid obscure items to get these baby pokemon/evolutions. Its complicated and imo not worth it. Just make the evolutions, trade evolutions without items and make baby pokemon the base form or just one universal incense.

A full leak has only ever happened once, and that was Gen V.

ahh, I totally forgot about the worldwide release.

I have an eery feeling that we're not going to get any older evolutions/baby pokemon.

Sylveon was the exception to introduce us to a new type with some familiarity.

Damn it, I just want them to connect Luvdisc to Alomomola. It's criminal.

I believe.

A Dragon Eeveelution only makes too much sense.

1. It's the last of the Gen 1-3 "special" types without an associated Eeveelution
2. Eeveelutions have been added in pairs the last two times
3. In the last two pairs of Eeveelutions, one of the two types was supereffective against the other (Dark -> Psychic; Ice -> Grass). Fairy -> Dragon.

While I would like another Eeveelution the only problem with your theory is that Eeveelution usually get shown at the same time.

Though I can see them breaking tradition for the Fairy type.

Nah, it copied Tyrannomon.

(Aw, nobody remembers that one.)

It's not that nobody remembers Tyrannomon, it just that the "you copied Digimon" idiots have no idea about the Digimon series at all and just running on what they know from the animé.

As a Digimon and Pokémon they just annoy me.

Beats old pappy t-rex.

Hey hey Tyrantrum is awesome.

I believe.

Farfetch'd will never get an evolution as he's meant to be a joke Pokémon, unless they make the evolution even more of a joke.

Tyrantrum mega evolution

C-c'mon s-step it up

Hate to break it to up but Game Freak said that no gen 6 Pokémon will get mega evolution.

Yeah I get the feeling emolga and alomomola were originally planned to be evolutions pachirisu and luvdisc but then they decided to do all original lines.

Leafeon and glaceon were discovered, never officially revealled before release so that only happened once with espeon and umbreon.

Sorry for the DP.

Indeed. Sylveon's the Pokémon which was used to promote the Fairy type, so it would be weird to have revealed it along with its counterpart. It was also a really clever way to get people speculating about its type before confirming it was actually a Fairy. If they had just shown some other mystery Pokémon and said "oh we're not telling you its type yet..." well that would've been stupid.

I didn't even think about Emolga.

There are a few weird odds and ends that I wish they'd clean up. The whole Nidoran thing, Gardevoirs not being 100% female, Gallades male, etc.

Then there's the stretch of Tauros/Miltank/Boufallant

Luvdisc and Alomomola I could see being originally intended to be related. But I don't really see what links Emolga and Pachirisu beyond them being squrrels, and different kinds of squirrel at that. Always just pegged them as new incarnations of the 'electric rodent' archetype each generation has at least one of.

Squirrel -> Flying squirrel I suppose.

the same could be said about luvdisc and alomomola. they're both fish, but different types of fish. I thought the same before, but now I know they are completely different species.

Remoraid -> Octillary
I understand, but they had different inspiration on why they evolve the way they do.

gun -> cannon.

a discus fish to an ocean sunfish is different other than their similar designs.

EDIT: there's nothing that really links them together conceptually (think I'm using that right) other than both being pink fish.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
Also, another possible PokeBomb coming in the next few hours, WPM, who previously revealed information pertaining to Pokemon XY (Inkay, Meowstick, Pangoro, the Kanto Starters, two Mega Mewtwos, etc.) is promising minor leaks on his Twitter.

So, you might want to be careful where you look.

Mmm. Delicious.

So, new question. Am I the only one that doesn't hate baby/egg move Pokemon?
Yes. >:-(

(I just really don't like the weird breeding methods and the way we got baby Pokemon for shit like Jigglypuff, Pikachu, and Marill. They don't need babies, they're already practically babies!)

Yes. >:-(

Can I ask why? The reason I hear the most is that they're pointless dex-filler. But why does that matter? It's not like they're taking the spot of some badass water/poison Platypus or bug/poison Mosquito. They're just little additions to build the Pokemon world.

EDIT: That's legitimate. I guess I just don't mind it all that much, but I will admit the breeding methods are tedious.
