Its actually a good discussion in my opinion. He makes allot of great points, I feel like some are unfairly harsh on Shahid alloy of the time, but you cant argue the guys passion.

Id recommend watching the whole thing if you have the time.

So both big kickstarter japan projects ( Project Pheonix, Mighty No. 9 ) coming to Vita.

Yum

Good work Sony, Third Party Productions. Oh iz gon be gud

I feel that even if it didn't reach that stretch goal in 4 days, shahid team will fund the port for vita regardless.

why would he fund 900k needed if that means 3ds version as well.
Don't think Sony is in the market for helping competing versions getting funded.

I think the funding would not be made as a contribution to the kickstarter, but to the company to have it ported to the vita. I believe the PS Blog post already states the Dev that would handle the task.

he'll just work on the port himself just to save money.

That's not what I meant. I mean they will pay Abstraction Games -the team behind the PlayStation platform versions of Hotline Miami- to do the port outside of the kickstarter deal.

Someone add the Banderos gif (think that's how you spell it) in to the background of this to really mess up our heads!

Why would they be asking for exclusivity? It's already for every platform out there, no way Comcept would accept a exclusivity deal.

I don't think they will reach their goal. They hardly got any backers in the last 3-4 days. Showing a new goal is just "well i guess we need more money, lets bait them" the last bit could be backed of anyone of the big 3. they all could back it with 500 000$ which still would be less, then what the pay as a years end bonus to their head honchos.

Wait. Did they throw 900k into the project or is this a joke?
It sounds like a joke based on how the Kickstarter isn't moving, but I can't watch the video now. Someone else mentioned Sony offered to have an outside studio work on the Vita port, but this thread is getting to the point where it's tough to know what's going on.

The outside studio angle makes more sense since if they put the 900K into the kickstarter they would be helping fund the 3DS port as well.

Abstraction Games (Hotline 1 & 2 ports to PS) will be the ones handling the port to the Vita, sooooo I don't know why it needs a stretch goal to be honest. Pretty sure it is coming to Playstation 4 and Vita regardless because of Abstraction's involvement.

Also I really enjoyed the talk. Shahid is a passionate guy and Sony is lucky to have him, and smart to give him as much leash as he does. Making deals on the top deck of a bus, over Skype, and at booth at a convention, guy is putting in work.
