Graphics graphics graphics. Yawn. Not a single mention of an interesting gameplay mechanic. "It's all about the experience" (TM). That's AAAA for you I guess.

Not expecting anything revolutionary but Ready at Dawn make great looking games that also play great, that's all I really need.

Plus, mustaches

Ok we need a gif of the dude turning at 0:47

Already done in the GI cover thread:

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Sounds fun, with some nifty physics-bending weaponry. Very much looking forward to that.

True next gen, not just upped resolution. It hasn't been used in any game yet. There's a PCcar game being developed which features this, it's a mod for CryEngine3. If used well, may basically change the way we play games.

Nice video. Now all we need is car manufacturers to allow it to be used in certain types of driving games. You would think other genres would use this whereever possible for whatever reasons. Certainly a game changer without a doubt.

Hopefully they pull it off.

Clouds and particles of dust float around lamp flames, subtely settling down on the camera lense

OMG. YES YES YES!! Subtle touches. So hyped for this game right now. I cannot imagine what Naughty Dog must be cooking right now if this is what we will be getting from Ready At Dawn.

"Sir Galahad" isn't actually the name. It's more like a character he became. His "born" name is Grayson. Other characters are Lady Igraine/Isabeau D'Argyll, Marquis de Lafayette and Sir Percival/Sebastian Malory.

OMG, one picture with a destroyed (shattered and burned) room. If that's the level of graphics we're going to get... greatness awaits! There are also screenshots taken outside (rooftops, a street during fight with a lot of fire) and dynamic lighting/shadows visible when they're using flashlights. Lots of blood, lots of dead bodies.

Looks like a 4-person co-op to me (online). I hope I'm not wrong.

WTF does that mean?

Sounds like they are saying that everything is interactive, like you can knock down a wall, a building, anything you want. Or how the environment reacts to you.

Ready at Dawn took a unique twist to QTEs, sometimes melee attacks occur during gameplay, time slows down and you can rotate your camera and find different things in the environment to give you an edge. These can range from dodging a punch or grabbing an improvised weapon for example
Focused on a very strong story driven single player now, not willing to talk about any multipla

But what does this mean? Why would you want to grab an improvised weapon, when, I assume, you'll already have a weapon, or why does it sound like the scene needs to slow down for you to dodge? Why is camera rotation during combat a big deal? This makes it sound like it's an on rails/hidden object game, where the game occasionally slows down, which lets you click a button to avoid an attack or whatever.

I NEED THIS NOW!.!

Thanks for the details Shinobi

You are the man

EDIT: The more I look at the comparison pics and GIFs the more it reminds me of TLoU

I don't get the aspect ratio hate... as it accomplishes two things (3 if you listen to their reasoning).

1: Widecreen viewing angle - Good for shooters, can better see whats coming at your from the sides... Dat peripheral vision vision.
2: Lower pixel count to be rendered - Better performance translates to better graphics. (At physics at the expense of native 1080p)
3: "Cinematic feel" - Feelin those feels

Definitely not buying the trailer graphics will be what in game graphics are like but I am pretty excited to see more of this game

It's true. The subtle touches and particles look "next gen" while maintaining a very elegant look (not messy like in Resogun and Killer Instinct). The more I look at the screenshots the more the art style is growing on me. It looks bizarre, though.

There are moments in the game when enemies might surprise you or you'll be unable to use your weapon in an instant, that's when you can use your environment to improvise during the QTE as opposed to just the standard "Press X"...
