To me it does not sound like Neon is super speed. Where does it make it sound like it, I have not read anything about it, truly.

I don't see that as ruling out the ability to enter a fast, controllable run. Aren't the smoke powers more like point-to-point dashes?

Anyway, you might be right, but it seems like a really dumb thing to say (on Miller's part) if speed isn't a component of "running like the flash." Plus Greg said neon "dash." It has to be a mode of fast traversal.

Why is there a "review event?" That sounds like some bullshit.

Because "review" may not mean what you think?


review - To look over, study, or examine again.





This event is a chance to get all the media together to check out the latest builds and gold versions of these titles, just before launch. It is not where they lock you in a room and make you review a game. These games are going to take days to review, especially something like ACIV.


You have to remember, Sony is a Japanese company, the meaning of "review" could be lost in translation here.

I think I hear somewhere that all power in second son will have their own unique method for traversal, like the smoke power can be used to teleport short distances and I guess fly/hover, and the neon power is apparently will be running really fast.

I think the expectations for inFamous since it was first shown is that it's going to be sorta like this gens Gears in the sense that it's going to bet he first game that really hits that "next-gen" feeling for many people.

I remember some saying around e3 that Infamous seemed the this first next gen game. Videos didn't really do it justice. I'm guessing it was a mix of the destructibility and overall being pretty. I'm sure it's only going to get better as they get further along in development. Sometimes it seems like the last few months can make a big difference.

Infamous is the only reason I'm getting a next gen console at launch...it may be coming out early next year, but it's not like the console is going to be any cheaper by then.

Otherwise I'd be getting that Mario Wii U bundle.

Okay, to be fair, I forgot what the invite said. *heh* But I'm here, and with as much as there is to see here, I'm not really sure I'd consider this a "review" event in the same way that, say, companies have people head somewhere to play games for 3-4 days in a row in order to do the full review.

From ehat ive heard, anyone who writes a review based on this event is being extremely disingenuous to their audience. This is a trade show focusing on the PS4 basically.
