Here is a quick recap of Polygon's 12 hour PS4 stream:
I hope Polygon is just as tough on the X1 as they were on Sony's products.
reloaded the stream but with the sound off
my god, whoever is playing is horrible
Do they even bother learning the commands are first before streaming? It's clearly not perfect but they're not doing themselves any favors by just shouting different variations of the same command.
Hyperbole 101 here.
It cost me $50AUS for my rechargeable batteries and charger I use with my 360 controllers, plus I've had to replace the batteries four or so times since launch at $10 a pop (if they're on sale).
It cost me $60 for a second controller for my PS3.
Besides that keeping both the PS3 controllers charged means I've never had to pause a game to swap out controllers while I'm playing. I just rotate them every session and they're always charged. With the 360's pad I have to change the batteries every 20 hours sometimes mid game. Does it bother me? Nope. It's not a big deal. I prefer internal batteries but using AA's isn't a deal breaker, it's just annoying.
Plus like I said earlier, having two controllers increases the life span of both controllers. But I also have a wife and friends who I like to play MP and co-op with. So that's another plus.
I really want to see if "XBOX OFF" when yelled through the voice chat will pop up the menu.

They can't get the voice commands working reliably on the IGN stream either. Interesting.
I completely agree with the bolded. It doesn't bother me either and it's not a deal breaker, but for people to pretend that rechargeable batters aren't just as good as a dedicated battery in a controller is crazy. Both options are valid. Both options have advantages and disadvantages. Why is it so crazy for someone to prefer one over the other?
Oh, and you need to buy better rechargeable batteries. Eneloop. Trust me. You get a charger and 4 batteries for $18. How the hell did you spend $50 on batteries and a charger?
I'm sure they're just putting on a show, but I hope this isn't how they review games.
What does that tell us though? Still seems the experience is inconsistent from people to people. It could be the acoustics in the room. It could be the tone of their voice. Plenty of factors.
Has anyone checked the other videos where they are having trouble with it, and confirmed they are just saying the commands wrong?

So why isn't it working for the people who are streaming? Is it spotty or are they doing something wrong?
I couldn't tell if that was a real thing or if th chat was fucking with them.So Dead Rising 3 summed up in two words: "CALM DOWN!"
I agree with Owens. I also own a 360 and a PS3. I'd rather have rechargeables ($50, what??) waiting for an instant swap out and charge them back up on down time in bulk. Pop out, pop in. Never have to tether to anything during play or resync a different controller as Player 1. Takes 5 seconds. Plus if both your controllers are being used in MP on a PS3, once they die you can't switch to any other controller. With the AA's just pop more in.

Saying wrong commands most of the time is the major problem. It seems like you have to pause for a short beat after saying "Xbox" as well. I wonder if all the talking while streaming affects things as well. I can't wait to see for myself how it works.

The loading time in dead rising 3 are completely unacceptable. Are they running directly from the disc or the hard drive? what are other games loading times like on xbox one?
