All of the image-based slides present in the OP feature rebuilt L4D2 levels. My guess is that the presentation is, at least in part, designed to show off Source 2's backwards compatibility with existing Source content.
I thought Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 listings (and maybe some Half-life 3 files) were leaked a long time ago from a website that showed Valve developer activity? People have basically treated both Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 as known. The new thing here would be old maps remade in the new engine (and/or remakes of old Valve games). Or it could just purely be a Source 2 tech demo scene.
Yeah, information from Valve's JIRA tracker leaked last June and again in October. Source 2, L4D3 and, yes, even HL3 are most definitely real.
I'm probably LTTP on the gif, but I fucking lost it.
Slide looks good. Especially if it really is from 2011.

hmhm, so, omnomnick says the filelist is legit. he also showed one 'The Plantation' source2 screen without the powerpoint. let's recap what we can see in the file list: cs2, dota, hl3, left4dead3, left4dead2, tf - so, they convert some older games from source to source2? not sure about the hl3 folder. halo 3 is still MS property, right? cs2 = counterstrike2?
in summary, two screenshots and one file list screen, and they all show that valve actually does work on/with source2. is this really hype or just another confirmation that valve is doing his job?

If nothing else, the resolution and image quality would be acceptable, and it wouldn't have compromised HDR...

Personally, I wouldn't get my hopes up for any console versions. I still believe that Valve will release their next games only on PC.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a few different builds of the game in early stages, featuring different conceptual ideas and "themes". No doubt Half-Life 3 exists in some form at Valve, after the Half-Life 2 beta leak debacle, I can't blame them for staying hush.
Personally, I think we will see Left 4 Dead 3 this year powered by Source 2, possibly near the end of 2014. Though, I don't have any real hope for Half-Life 3 being a 2014 release.. I'm even skeptical of a 2015 release date :S
Oh, it's coming.
I reckon VR has given Valve a new angle at approaching HL3. It'll be the first major VR game release, built around that concept, I am sure. That way it'll be remembered, it'll impact the games industry as much or more than HL2, and it won't need a new game mechanic or way of including a narrative in a game to do it.
Mark my words.
If HL3 doesn't release by October 2nd next year, which it almost assuredly won't, it'll surpass TF2 as Valve's longest-gestating project.

of course, Microsoft seems to be allowing more free dlc and they will easily bend their rules for a game like L4D3. L4D2 outsold the PC version on 360
Well, if a left 4 dead sequel, or any valve game for that matter, gets a console release, I doubt it'll be Sony exclusive just because valve doesn't like microsoft
Just to clarify the HL2 beta wasn't leaked internally as such by someone not staying quiet, some guy hacked their servers and downloaded it then released it onto torrent sites.
