I'd buy that more if it weren't for the fact that all of his posts since e3 have been negative leaks when regarding the XB1. You can say that there's been no good news to post but that's not true. DRM removal, region free, headset in the box, consoles as "dev kits", indies having all access to the system that a major pub has, and the (minor but still better than nothing) spec bump on the gpu and cpu. Basically all the lol 180 stuff.
He didn't post about any of that. Instead we get MS will make devs pretend ps4 versions don't exist at e3 (didn't happen), low yields leading to downgrades (low yields maybe but downgrades no), snapgate, resgate, impending "ass storm", and stupid 1 word drive-bys like 60sigh, and imagine designed to make people flip out.
Personally I'm not sure if he has an agenda or is playing to the current majority on gaf. But he definitely has a bug up his butt when it comes to the Xbox One.
Yea, I agree with your sentiment here. This is something I've noticed to, and honestly I've never wanted to bring it up in a CBOAT thread. But CBOAT's behavior lately does make me question his (or her?) true intentions...I don't know if I'd so far as to call it an agenda, but it certainly is
very one-sided when it comes to the leaks.
I think since early this year, I've only seen one or two positive Xbox One thing leaked, and everything else has been downright negative. Sure, MS deserved a lot of shit pre-E3, but I think there have been A LOT of positive things that CBOAT, but didn't. Which is unfortunate because he/she has to know his/her status here on this board and what power he/she has...this is especially true with the one/two word drive by posts that get blown way up and throw the board (and sometimes gaming world) into a frenzy (often unnecessarily).
I appreciate what CBOAT does in bringing insider information to us, but I've definitely looked at his/her more recent leaks with a lot more bags of salt than I previously did.
I don't think Cboat ever said anything about downgrades. Not that I recall, at least.
I'm pretty sure one of CBOAT's leaks talked about processor down clocks, which I think might be what DarkCloud was referencing. And not too long after that leak, MS announced up clocks on the GPU (and later CPU), which caused a lot of head scratching (at least for me).
