Totally agreed, hence why I said to support Wii projects and dismiss every thing WiiU. Let's hope they get the hint.StevieP said:Because developers give a shit about peripherals (see: Move)
Of course they will. But developers see a nice tasty dual-analog tablet, and to top it off it's the "default" controller. So games will be built around it. That Ubisoft alien game uses the Upad's accelerometer to control the reticle, for instance. *pukes*
fernoca said:Plus the Wii Remote is required for local multiplayer on Wii U (local multi with more than 1 controller at least, not the pass your controller kind of games); so it's more than just an accessory.
Well, the "usual suspects" might get released (like next year's Call of Duty, etc.) ; unless they just remove local multiplayer all together. Still, the point was in general: Considering that one of the advertised points of the Wii U is the use of the Wii Remote for local multiplayer games; is not really impossible to think that developers might add support for it in most of the games. Of course, it always depends on them; unless Nintendo decides to force them.Mael said:Because there's so many splitscreen fps being released...

Freezie KO said:I'm sure most devs will ignore pointer controls on Wii U, even though the Wiimote is compatible. But I hope that because CoD already has them programmed, that the Wii U versions will have them because it's really not much work to bring them over. I always said that if the PS3 versions supported Move, then they'd be definitively the best versions.
...Why did they do that? It probably took quite some time to properly read and convert the motion data into pointing, why not use the simpler, better, more reliable method?StevieP said:They have a new version of that duck-hunt-style shooting gallery game, based entirely on Motion Plus accelerometers (aka Move).
Boerseun said:When your dealing with first person shooters, which is what most people are buying Move for (or so it would appear), it still lags far behind Nintendo's controller

You're actually played a Move game, KZ3 for example? IMO in terms of lag with Wii FPS is very similar, maybe it actually lags a little in comparison, but to say that lags far behind..

Yep, this is the first Modern Warfare that will be released on the Wii; the same day as the others. MW1 was released the same day as MW2 on the others; and MW2 was never released on Wii.AbsoluteZero said:That I did not know.

Will it use Wii Remote Plus? So few games use it.

Call of Duty rail shooter for Wii, with drop-in drop-out co-op play!Alextended said:Yeah, they're games designed for much more powerful platforms and for which other teams (IW) claimed ports would be impossible. Treyarch has done a pretty incredible job porting them with few missteps. Of course they don't look as good as something designed exclusively for Wii since they're all reduced and scaled down assets rather than content made for that specification to begin with but that is not up to them, nobody would give them another full game's worth of budget, since that's what it would take to remake everything for Wii. And it's much better to get a port of the real deal than to get some low budget spin off type game that misses the mark in every area.
I'd rather have whats inside the box.Lone_Prodigy said:Call of Duty rail shooter for Wii, with drop-in drop-out co-op play!
