You are a disgrace Messi. I would revoke your Olivia privileges if I could

What kind of comic thread is this? Damn millenials :(

All the time you have known me on here and read my posts, what part of that makes you believe that I would enjoy reading the preacher series? Everything I have seen of that book screams to me NO YOU WILL NOT LIKE THIS.

I've only read the first Preacher trade, i think, but didn't continue the series because the content was a bit crude. The tv show trailer looked okay but a little messy, i don't like trailers where they try to throw lots of different scenes into it to show how much it has going on.

Crude as in violent or lots of boobies? One is completely forgivable.

Please tell me Elsa Bloodstone is in a book post Secret Wars. She is amazing in Marvel Zombies. Where can I read more about her?

Its VERY violent, not many boobies. Some boobies, but mostly as backgound or something, not really focused on it. Like, you cant have a coke fueled orgy party without some boobies right?

I don't think I would read Preacher, personally. I tend it to stick to T+ as my upper end. Not really interested in really really violent stuff, excessive profanity, or much sexual content.

Rhaknar ensuring I never read Preacher with that art. Yeesh.

Trailer for the show was... IDK. Honestly, Walking Dead is really losing with how violent it is. I know some folks have felt it's goes porn for a while, but I'm really just getting there myself, feeling like "Nah... I'm good."

So in that sense, yeah, Preacher isn't what I'm feeling right now. According to that trailer, anyway.

Halo 5 campaign = TOO GOOD. I get the complaints, but I'm on Mission 6 and I fuvking LOVE it. I missed Halo and I love what they've done with it this time. Spartans have never been cooler and the fighting has never been more fun.

Comics are a thing.

Like two issues of Seven Soldiers left. I really liked the endings for Mister Miracle and Bulleteer. MM I'm going to have to read again. Shit is trippy, yo.

Bulleteer kinda felt like a supporting character in nearly all of her story, but I feel like that was part of the point. The idea of someone not into super heroes at all being left with no real choice other than to become one is a fascinating premise. I think it plays particularly well today when there's no shortage of complaints about how there's too many super hero films or whatever.

It's Ennis. If someone says "This thing by Garth Ennis is good." Then it'll likely be very violent but still do a bang-up job when it comes to his characters.

Thats a great way to summarise Garth Ennis

I don't even know what that is.

It's a prequel series to this book:
Something I posted about at length in the last couple pages of last month's OT.
Has anyone been reading the Flash lately? Been pretty good, especially with
Professor Zoom
and I assume in Flash #44 Wally being hit with that "lighting energy" may give him speedforce powers?
If you're talking about the New 52 -> Post-Convergence stuff? Because no. I started it, found it incredibly boring, and am now turned off by Barry looking like a Transmetal. The art at the beginning was incredibly beautiful.

I can tell I'm going to love Batman Zero Year just from the first issue. And the colors, my goodness, they are so beautiful.

Okay, that I've seen before.

Though I usually don't very much like prequels, generally speaking.

You won't have to worry. You won't need any book context. Guaranteed it's a lot like Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. Joe has a partner named Simon Church, who is basically a Sherlock Holmes that goes after occult stuff. It'll mostly be cases, but just developing Joe and Simon more as characters. The book will probably have the case that JGatDC's plot is caused by. Which means that this book will take place AT LEAST 84 years (give or take a few) before the main book.

I wouldn't worry,

I'm somewhat enjoying Assassin's Creed Syndicate but I think i'm just playing it due to a lack of options and it's not a good game.

You kids need to stop jumping in onthe mainstream casual hype, google up what games are releasing on the system you own and then just ask which of dat ish is worth it
Case in point i got anno 2205 on uplay since not many had gotten it and its the one ubi game worth getting this month at least :v

Just read issue two of Doomed. Can't believe this was canceled already. Lobdell was channeling Ditko here. I don't understand it, Doomed's story needed to be told.

Hmm I think it's easy to jump the gun on the Preacher trailer because it's all footage from the pilot and it basically looks nothing like the source material (or maybe it's just a huge expansion of that one bar fight in the beginning). I'll be more keen on passing judgement once I see how they handle the rest of the material.

My 1-year subscription is over. Will wait for some more SW issues/tie-ins to be uploaded before I re-subscribe. (Or if there is a crazy deal in Nov/Dec).

Will miss Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

Lack of options? Man, I've been juggling several games lately, and Fallout 4 drops next week.

Fallout 4 gets my next gamefly rental whenever i ship back Assassin's Creed or Mario Maker, i chose Creed over Divinity ps4 since i'll probably buy that when it goes on sale. I also want to rent Call of Duty......

Aw yissss got my Multiversity Hardcover from IST, I really should e-mail them a compliment for their services X3

Also came with my order of Dark Cybertron Vol. 1 and 2, I have night shift in a few hours so I'll take them with me and split my time between it and finishing some 3DS games :D

i think passing judgment on the Preacher show from a teaser is pretty silly. hell most shows dont even get into their groove a few episodes in. some take seasons to get good.

I've been listening to the Fallout 3 and New Vegas soundtracks for days now, the hype is real. I get my Steam Controller the same day as well.

Ain't nobody got time for that.

Reading Batman Incorporated vol. 1, I think I'm really digging the art. I can't tell yet. It's good, but also bad? Pretty to look at, for sure. Almost feels like it was done in color first. Which is a weird thing to say, but that's the overall impression.

EDIT: Aaaaaand I just realized I started reading the post-New 52 book first. Whoops.

Chris Burnham and Frank Quitely all blend together in a fetal position.
