I just let out a huge sigh of relief when I saw this thread. While we don't know everything about the mother, I'm finding it hard to believe that she, who got swindled out of them to begin with, would be the worse parent in all this. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but for now, I'm glad those poor kids are gone from that home. I can only hope they find some real happiness soon

Never saw that video. They're still going with "it's all fake and the kids are in on it". I mean I guess it's their only play at this point. Also like how they say they always stop when the kids start crying and ask them if they want to keep going. However in many videos you can see that Mike loves it when the kids cry and pushes them harder for more tears.

Likely this is the tip of the iceberg. There will be a bunch of restraining orders coming out of this as well so I don't think he will be anywhere near those kids for a long while.

That's a start. I watched those recap videos that were posted in the thread. They break my heart. These kids are going to need so much more then being taken from these awful parents. They're going to need a lot of help down the road. I hope they'll get that help and that things will turn out better for them.
I would imagine 100s of daily calls to CPS moved things along. The Mother reported the abuse in October but nothing was done.

11 minutes into the summary video. As someone who grew up in a military/marine household where corporal punishment was very real by blood is legit boiling. Fuck these parents, and its a relief the children were taken away.
The biological mother and her lawyer said they are receiving counseling. Cody is struggling but is coming around while Emma seems to be adjusting just fine. I hope Cody can recover from all that abuse.

I had a feeling Cody might be struggling. Poor thing went through some awful trauma, or what his parents call "pranks". I'm sure it'll be very hard for them, but they can do it.
Well I mean it sounds like the parents did a number on him, convincing him the Mother hated him, abandoned him, etc. I'm sure that can be collaborated because he said these things in front of others when they showed up to take him.
Not too mention, he lived with brothers. It's going to be hard for him not seeing them. The sister was the only girl that might explain why it was at least a little easier for her, that and she was older and probably didn't buy into the BS as much.
