I guess one of the problems is having to pay MS (at least) for every patch they release after the first or second. The whole situation is basically a mess.

They changed some code as well. You can't just put out untested code, because otherwise you're opening the door for a world of trouble, and testing/certification takes time, especially with network modes. 1.04 basically killed co-op mode, which indicates it was rushed out. I'd rather deal with people exploiting the game for another couple of weeks than have a game that's completely broken for God knows how long.

Enemies fall off cliffs all the time. For me a glitch would be the Dragon Head Stone duping. Or the Snuggly trade thingy.

On Twitter, Rich said he's waiting for a heads-up from Bamco about the patch(es). If 1.04 wound up making some issues worse, I wouldn't be surprised if they waited a while and combined it with 1.05.

I got to the point where it felt faster to just fight the dudes in the forest than it was to aggro and keep their attention. I even liked fighting the invisible dude after a while.

Great news, but I still think it should have been released weeks ago.

Thanks to some of the glitches, platinuming/1000ing the game has been piss easy compared to DeS. And then we have the terrible online performance, and no wonder people have started to move on a while ago.

I'm starting to doubt that this game will have the longevity of Demon Souls.

Have you tried the Kiln? From chilling there for a few hours I can join the sunbros with like -20 Faith.

I actually found it faster to just join the covenant and start invading. Every once in a while you'll come across some random person that has hundreds of thousands of souls on them. Last night, I merely invaded a world where someone died the second I got in and I got over 800k souls. Went on a shopping spree today.

I was under the impression that it was p2p and not the same dedicated server setup as with demon's souls.

that might be worth a try...i'm not great at the last guy (my parry timing isnt super) but i could still help out and hopefully not die.
oh crap, but id have to get all the way there again! i stopped at the anor londo blacksmith in NG++, heh.
