If there is a $400 model (GTX 1070?) it's probably going to be time to ditch the GTX 780. It's been good but I'm settling for 30 FPS in a lot of games lately, it's getting kinda old always having to tweak settings.

I wonder if I can still get a good price for my 690 when the new gpus come out.

I'm very curious to know how well the pascal gpus will perform in games compared to the 900 series.
