Tangentially related, but, it's cute that people feel so secure in their ability to send stuff on Snapchat feeling that they "know" whether or not someone took a screenshot of it, when the ability to duplicate a cellphone screen on a PC and do a PrintScreen of the cellphone screen is a thing.

Reminds me of the time I explained to a collegue why his emails got lost. I basically told him that it's a problem with the cables: the longer the distance, the more bends and because the data is propelled at nearly lightspeed, it's possible that some bits get flung out in high speed corners.

For what it's worth I like the idea of Facebook's Moments app - it allows you to share pictures with interested people so that they also receive copies and can share the content as if it's their own - but nobody I know uses it!

If you really really need to do this (??) and you really want to be sure nothing is linked to your profile, I guess you could always paste the direct image url into a private browsing tab and save it from there.

Most girls I know have a extension installed on Facebook that alerts them of people doing this. They don't talk about it most of the time because they don't want to seem vain or insecure, but it's there.

Yeah I remember this app or extension that did this a long time ago. Use to tell you who had viewed your gallery, what pictures/videos, your news feed etc. So it's still around?
