Would be amazing, but our only hope of that is an NBA team. NFL and MLB rosters are too large for anything like that. Even still, we're talking about pro athletes worth millions in a league run by billionaires. Trump will have support in every locker room and you can bet most owners support him. I wouldn't be surprised if owners put added pressure on staff and players to make sure they attend. Sure superstars like Brady, LeBron, Steph, etc. can bail out if they want, but if you're sitting at the bottom of the roster you could be risking your job to go against the owner's wishes. It would send a great message, I just don't see an entire team pulling that off. I hope I'm wrong.

It's not fake to say there was measureably less players there than in 2015. Filling the photo with inconsequential club workers isn't the same thing.

I don't hate him but I don't like him either. This is right up his alley though. I don't think brink spends much time actually thinking about what he's doing. From dating porn stars, hosting party cruises, generally acting crazy all the time and a million other in the moment things I've seen him do he seems to be living a in the moment life. He's like a super buff man child. I'd be just as surprised to see him fist bump Putin or Obama. He's Gronk.

But it's not fake news. The original photo is an accurate representation of the "problem" - objectively, mathematically, scientifically speaking, 30% fewer players showed up. POLITICALLY a few players have spoken out about why, and it's Trump. One (black) player said he couldn't shake Trump's hand and look his daughter in the eye. Which is what the reporting should really be about, rather than dumb optics. Brady is the "busy" outlier.
Now, the entire thing may be inconsequential, but the only reason it's news at ALL is because of Trump's own prior ridiculous behavior.
It's not fake news. It's 100% true, and as usual Trump is making it worse and stupider by having the Pats lie (or rather, dissemble) on his behalf. If you want to be embarrassed about making a mountain out of a molehill, just look to the Whitehouse, as usual.

The spin is that the rest of the Pats "staff" was sitting on the south lawn and not in the picture.
They say staff because it's not actually players. Way less football players came this year.

Love Jacoby even more now. Kid won me over this year. A rookie 3rd string QB thrown to the wolves 2 weeks into the season. Played his heart out, even if the stats weren't great he showed a lot in those games. Glad to see he's a man of character, too.

The thing with Gronk is that everything is positive to him so I don't know if he really believes this (or anything) or if he's just going with the flow.
What bugs me more is that he can't stay on the field for more than 18 seconds without getting hurt.

Then why not just ignore him? (???) I only know the guy from seeing him twice on wrestling, and he's not hard to avoid. He can be a meathead all he wants, a quick Google shows he's actually done good socially conscious work at least once in his life, which is more than Trump or many of us can say.
