I feel the amount of viable heroes is pretty awesome compared to the naga, am, lycan days.

Can't understand people complaining about the meta. Way more varied compared to earlier years...

When I used to play DOTA 2, Lich was one of my most used heroes and I never got to see him picked on the earlier TIs. I am kinda happy to see him on so many matches this TI. Not sure what happened to make him viable, I do not understand DOTA's strategies well (reason why I stopped playing it and only watch it now).

There used to be an item that made the bouncing go on forever as long as there were opponents or even enemy creeps around to chain it, is it still a thing? It was expensive and as a support I kept being told off for trying to get enough money for it ;P

Aghs Scepter is still a thing.

I think the biggest thing for Lich is the addition of talents. You can get damage, extra GPM, essentially a free Skadi at Lvl 25. Makes him much more flexible.

People called Romanes they go the house?
So.....how does Newbee win lategame with their biggest right clicker being Veno?

DP and rasta can hit buildings, sure, but the damage is gonna fall off compared to jugger.

Much like liquid and their Alchemist, they have to go when they're relatively strong and shorten the game.

Newbee has a good draft this game. I think they can get the win. Then again, I thought they had the better draft last game, but then LC had a string of poor duels so....

Oh yeah, I forgot about the talent tree addition. I think I should go back and try to play him again. Also loved Death Prophet. And the cheese heroes like Sniper :p

thats just the talent tree, you get to choose talents at level 10, 15, 20 and 25 i believe

Thanks, last time I played:
No talent tree
No shrines (don't get how those work yet)
No high/low ground on the safe lanes
Different Jungle camp locations
Rosh still at bottom
No bounty/arcane runes
No scan

So yeah ;-)

The shrines are basically a AOE restoration, mini-fountains with a cool down. They're out in each side's jungle, and also in the bases. They basically allow you to defend your tier 3 towers easier, and regroup for pushes faster (both for the heal and because you can TP to them).

Once you destroy a tier 3 tower, the shrines become vulnerable and you can destroy them.

Go Newbee! At least give us match 4! Don't screw up the team fights!

Also, they really need to up their warding game :/ Liquid doing a much better job at that.

The funny part is that most of that was from a single update.

I can imagine there was a lot of bitching about such "big" changes or mostly positive reactions?

Are they time based or team ability? I mean as when do they activate?

I'm in a "discussion" on a Facebook page about Miracle, where this guy is completely praising him. I like him, he's a great player, but I feel there's a very strong carry bias because of all their nice numbers - highest NW, highest hero damage. To me, the standout players so far are the offlaners and the roamers. They're the ones who, to my scrub perception, really hold the game for the carries to eventually step in and rek. They have the clutch plays, the skillshots, the aggression. They're the ones infiltrating enemy territory more often than not, who get the saves, who set up the kills. And GH and mind control have been amazing.

This seems to be the oldest problem with MOBAs. I play Heroes of the Storm, and high damage assassins with lots of kills in quickmatch will be "gg all me" at the end of the game, even though someone was healing them the whole game and a specialist was pushing lane and actually taking objectives (yknow, the things that win you the game) the whole time.

How the fuck do they not prevent the earthshaker from going on. The SK sees him and channels his own ulti instead.

Disappointing performance by Newbee.

Game Over, grats Liquid.

Drop to lower bracket and slowly discover a high tempo early game meta that is the optimal meta in this TI.

Everyone got played like a fiddle.
