About 2 hours in. Catching up with old friends, eluvians, Qunari plots, this is getting good.
Yeah I can see that. Who knows? Onto 3-4 years of waiting lol. At least there's ME:A.
The previous DLCs are separate side stories, they're not needed for this.downloaded the DLC, is it required to do the previous DLCs as well?
In addition, can i change my options?I dont want cassandra to be the divine, and want her to be my loved one and have vivvianne as the divine.

And the answer is no to your second question. Sorry :-/
gonna have to play through this game again and wait for the other DLCs to go on sale.
Are you trying to make me cry?ME:A hype.
how do I begin the DLC? I said to continue game don't see anything that stands out.
What do I do for?the puzzle with the torch and the button you press
OT for a DLC? Don't recall seeing that before on GAF.

Spoiler Free Review:
The Main Story, without experiencing all the side content - about 4 - 5 hours, (I did however play on casual as my Nightmare build guy is still working through descent)
The best thing here is the quality of the story. Its a really cool epilogue for DAI, and helps to put the chapter at a satisfying conclusion.
The environment are nicely designed, and the new hub you get is kinda cool.
Almost all of the Dragon Age Inquisition cast and party members get really cool satisfying conclusion (especially one character - Varric fans will be very happy) - Romancers get an awesome scene
Holy shit, the story ends in the most awesome way, and I'm not spoiling anything about THAT
But one spoiler: (very mild)
The credits are incredible <3 Cassandra
Only disappointment - not enough new armour, but I think you really have to look for it
Follow the wolf eyes.
After playing this I really want to play as the Inquisitor for the next game.

So, I guess the Quinari incursion in this game has no link to the choices made during Iron Bulls's personal quest? Because they were not happy with my Bull.
Makes me feel better about the choice I made with him if those bastards are invading the south anyways..,
This honestly surprised me in how reactionry it was. It took choices all the way from Origins into account.
How do I?open the door to the Qunari fortress
Wait really? Which one of the decisions from origins did they carry over? Should I be hyped or are these just small, lil easter egg type mentions?
Aaagh I've only completed the game on my PS3 so now I'm scrambling to finish up my PS4 elf playthrough that I had put on hold. Really excited to play this.
Man how do youat the end? I got thefree the dragonbut I can't get thegatePlease help me GAF!rings right...
Same. I'd also want Sera and Harding back as companions. Dagna could continue to be there as a merchant character, Cullen could still be around in some capacity (although I'm not sure what he does ifso that might be out). Thinking about it though, just about everyone else is out for one reason or another. Either they go home, leave on their own journey, move into a position with much more responsibility, can die depending on your choices, or they're Solas doing Solas things. Sera I could see making a cameo either way consideringyou choose to disband at the end.she's been to Tevinter before, and she'll probably follow the Inquisitor around anywhere as long as they're still friends or lovers
Spoiler thoughts:I'm wondering how the one arm thing would work if the Inquisitor could be the star of the next game. If you end the game as friends (not lovers) with Sera and take her up on the offer of hanging with the Red Jennies, there's an ending slide where the Inquisitor has a cool looking crossbow grappling hook thing attached to their arm. Maybe Dagna could make various attachments as arm replacements, and you could have upgrade paths for these?
100% agreed with everything hereI thought it was such a good DLC, worth every penny. Spoilers below.
Okay so I romanced Solas with my canon Lavellan Inquisitor and I just have to say that finally confronting him about who he is was one of the most bittersweet/satisfying things in DA:I (PATRICK WEEKES EVERYONE). To be honest I'm really glad they didn't go the route of making everything roses and sunshine, because that just wouldn't make sense for his character at all. It was really gut wrenching, just hearing it in his voice it's filled with sorrow and trepidation. In the end I told him I wouldn't give up on him (The Inquisition will attempt to change Solas's mind) and I also disbanded the Inquisition. One of my favorite parts at the end was when my giiiiirls (Inquisitor, Cass, Leliana, Harding) were in a room together and said that they will try to save him from himself and that it will take someone he doesn't know to try to do it (presumably DA4 protag/companions). I never get my hopes up about BioWare cameos, but in this case because the Inquisitor herself states (again in my version of events) that they need to find someone to save him by stopping him, I would love to see an Inquisitor cameo at the end of all things in DA4. I'm just glad they didn't turn him into a monstrous person like -twirls mustache-. Anyways I think the other decision in the DLC was save/kill the dragon. I saved the dragon in my playthrough.
Overall though, the environments, music, pacing were really good. It really goes to show how much of a difference story-heavy DLC can make versus the other two (which I still enjoyed, regardless). Also Inquisitor with, I love it (but also was prepared for it because I spoiled myself a few days prior.one arm

I roleplayed my Inquisitor Lavellan as more of a tragic character, and Solas' whole romance arc fit into it so perfectly. He took her heart, her vallaslin and then even her arm, and yet she's still going to try and save him, lol. A very unique and well done romance arc imo, and it makes me feel so much more intertwined with the plot. I have a human playthrough that just doesn't feel the same at all.
Yeah, I know people aren't going to understand us Solasmancers, but that's okay I enjoyed watching the tragedy unfold, haha.
About DA4's protagonist speculation
As much as I'd want it, I doubt it'll happen for two reasons.
1. The devs have already said that the Inquisitor's story is basically over with this final DLC. (Could be bluffing here, I dunno)
2. Since Solas knows how they work (and has spies all around) and knows their every move, Inquisitor saying that she'll find new people is basically setting up the new protag/companions for the next game. Or I guess it could be seen as adding new people to her entourage.
There's no doubt that the Inquisitor will be talked about and play a small role in the next game, but I feel like it's going to be more of a "behind the scenes" thing. Especially with how the people handled Hawke's return (althought it was under way different circumstances), I don't think they'll make that same mistake twice. Aaaaand she doesn't have an arm anymore, lol. While it would be cool to have a disabled protag like that, I don't think they'll do it. Would render some specs like bows completely useless unless they reworked it all. Which would be pretty interesting I think if they could manage to pull it off.
I mean they can make it happen and I could be 100% wrong, but this is just imo.

What happens if you didn't banish a certain group in inquisition? I did andWhich is silly if I'm being judged for being cautious lolduring the original trial thing they were all saying how I fucked up in banishing the wardens but the game tells you they could get corrupted at any moment
Started this up earlier and had no idea how much I missed these guys. Nice touch on the romance partner mentioning the inquisitor in the letter at the beginning.
Skipping on the gym tonight to play this, anyone know total playtime for this?

I've played a bit on now, and while the DLC is fun enough, I've had several occurrences of dialogue not fitting my decisions (someone alluding that Gaspard is emperor even though I have Celene and Briala jointly ruling, and Cassandra hinting at Cullen being my love interest despite it being Sera). Minor annoyances, to be sure, but still very irksome.

Does someone want to explain to me why I'm doing little to NO fucking damage? I have a knight enchanter and not sure if there was a nerf at one point after I beat the game but I'm only doing like 80 damage per hit with my magic sword and the barrier isn't charging up. If it helps this is against thosepurple elf ghosts
This is ridiculous. Level says it was 20 and I'm at 21.
Knight Enchanter got nerfed hard in the last patch.
I highly doubt they would nerf it where it takes me like 50-100 swings to defeat one of the low-tier mobs and the barrier doesn't charge at all with swings because I'm doing no damage whatsoever.
If they did they can suck it. I don't care if the build was WAY too OP the solution isn't to completely make them unplayable. What the fuck am I supposed to do with this build now this late game?
