Microsoft shows off multiple brand new AAA IP is the dream.

Sony shows me a game I didn't even know I wanted is the dream.

Nintendo shows off Pokemon Switch and it's everything I wanted is the dream.

I've been saying it since 2009 but I feel like this might finally be the year that Rocksteady announces they're making a Superman game.

Other than that, between Spider-Man, Star Wars, God of War, a potential new Sucker Punch IP and Assassin's Creed in Egypt, this might be my most hyped E3 ever.

Oh yeah, and one more thing.

I live for massive lists like this

What I want:

-DQ XI western release date announced. Lesser wish: DQ XI Switch shown, simultaneous release in the west with PS4/3DS.

-Metroid. I want an honest to god Metroid Prime or Super Metroid successor. I want Metroid to be shown, to look good, and for there to be ample reason to think it is the kind of game it should be.

-Retro's game is revealed and either is Metroid or some other compelling single player experience.

-FE Switch is shown and looks like a step back from the 3DS entries to the story/character/world ambitions of the Tellius games. New character artist would be nice too. Game looks like 2018.

-SMT Switch is shown and looks like it could hit 2018. Atlus in general announces a bevy of Switch support (including an EO successor) and the platform looks like it will succeed the 3DS as the main platform for that developer.

-In general, a good showing of support for Switch from Japan, ramping up in 2018.

Not really going to go into what I take the likelihood of these to be, but they are what I want from E3 :p.

Castlevania.

Current gen consoles, no LoS bullshit, featuring a Belmont. 3D RPG. Metroidvania-style open world where abilities give you access to new areas.
But yeah, it's Konami. So no.

EA

-Don't really see many big surprises with EA. Best thing they can to please people is Mass Effect remastered trilogy with all the dlc. Everything else they'll do is probably already known in some shape or form. BIoware's new ip should be an interesting watch but if its just another generic Destiny clone done with Frostbite then I don't think it will be all that much of a megaton. Bungie will eat their lunch. The trailer would have to be really good if they want to make a splash.

Microsoft

-They will unveil Scorpio for 499$. VR talk etc. State of Decay 2 showcased for their big fall game. Crackdown 3 gets delayed until next year. Sea of Thieves and Forza for Sept. The non Halo 6 Halo news will probably be esports stuff. or some type of remaster.

-Overall I think their conference will be a bit boring and predictable unless they are able to moneyhat several big 3rd party games. Most likely be time exclusives like RotTR. They just don't have that big of a first party compared to Sony/Nintendo.

Bethesda

I would just love to see them end the show with teaser for Elder6 releasing in end of 2018. Other than that I expect a new IP. Most likely singleplayer FPS since that is what they've really loved to do this gen. New Wolfenstein and Evil Within will probably be here. Hopefully we get official release date for Quake Champions if they don't already do it before.

Ubisoft

-Ubisoft already having a monster year so they will probably go balls to the wall with new Crew, Far Cry and Assassin's Creed. These guys are gonna basically release 5 big AAA games in a single calendar year lol. I think they close the show with Division 2 teaser which comes out next year.

Sony

-Hoping for a new Death Stranding trailer and From to finally unveil their new IP. Other than that I think Sony will just showcase all the 1st/3rd party stuff they unveiled last year with release dates and indepth gameplay. They kind of have to really. Also more VR stuff.

-Gran Turismo for Sept and God of War for Nov. They close the show with TLOU2 gameplay and/or teaser for PS5 like MS did with Scorpio last year. One other thing I'll predict is that Square won't showcase FF7R/KH3 in anyway and everyone will be upset. I don't think Red Dead will be there either since R* announces things their own way.

Nintendo

- Odyssey will be the big show game just like Zelda last year. A ton of WiiU ports coming to the Switch. The release dates for those ports will probably be a lot sooner than most people think. Pokemon and Xenoblade2 as their big games for early next year. I see a new Platinum IP being unveiled exclusively for Switch. I think they close out their E3 with either a teaser for new Smash or teaser for new Metroid as their big game for end of next year.

Nintendo teases a new IP for next year.

Nintendo makes an Odyssey themed booth that rivals the Zelda one.

Ubisoft makes the Crew 2 like how I envisioned the first would be.

EA to make Fight Night 4 for the Switch and PSVR.

Microsoft a lot of luck in making quality 1st party IP.

Square Enix to announce Final Fantasy XV for the PC.

Sony to announce that PS4 Pro games optionally will support 100+fps.

Sega to announce a Genesis remastered instead of a Genesis classic. The point of a remaster is to improve on many of the games visuals and gameplay of the games that will be included in the box.

A big new IP for the PC that is either singleplayer, 2P coop or 2v2. Anything but the next big game being another squad level multiplayer game.

Things I think are likely to happen:

Microsoft:
- Scorpio is $399
- A big focus on a select few titles at 4k, with Assassin's Creed probably being the big "wow" title for many
- Sea of Thieves release date and a public beta
- Crackdown stage demo, release date
- Halo spin-off
- A third party timed exclusive

Sony:
- Open with Days Gone
- Spiderman demo, 2018
- Detroit trailer, 2017
- Wild has a trailer snuck in there, 2018
- Dreams surfaces with a demo, public beta announced, 2018
- Ends with God of War demo

Nintendo:
- No Metroid

Had a prophetic dream where they announced Pikmin 4, so might as well put that down here for posterity. Seems plausible.

They announced it for the Wii U and maintained it still was in development last summer. It's obviously coming out for the Switch instead.

I wanna see as many new IPs as possible. Nostalgia can take a back seat this year; the future can take the wheel.

That's unless Team Silent miraculously reunite... then by all means nostalgia go wild.

I think we need a new category for fever dreams. Here's my out there wish for a Banjo-Kazooie sequel:

Your forest habitat is shrinking and the climate is changing. Your mate has been killed by gun nuts, leaving you with a cub to educate and care for along your perilous journey to set things right.

Seasons will pass as you work your way to the capital, facing hordes of zombie open-carry climate change deniers punctuated by dramatic encounters with the leaders who have led them astray. Learn a variety of debate tactics from wise animals along the way to enhance the deep debate-em-up gameplay. Or just eat your enemies when cornered because, well, you're a bear. Moral dilemmas will confuse your cub who you can raise in a variety of ways leading to a wide range of possible personalities by the end of the game.

It's God of War meets The Last of Us with a dash of Dark Souls for good measure.

Honestly if you just scrap 2-3 games from every publisher list this is probably pretty close to what we'll get.

I also like how even if you scrap nothing from EA's list it's still boring.

My crazy dream that will never happen is that Sony decides to bring more of their games to PC, there's going to be a time where consoles don't exist in the way they do today, they'll become streaming boxes or something. And I think that Microsoft knows that which is why they've begun to transition to releasing on PC as well. I think Sony needs to also be hit with this revelation. Even if they had to make their own storefront I just want Sony exclusives on my PC. There's a reason we've seen more games come to PC then ever. I mean destiny 2 Bayonetta the Forza series. The writing is on the wall and there's money to be made.

jryeje29

I also think this will totally be Microsofts year, I'm not a huge fan of their exclusives usually but I like the direction they've taken especially on PC and with Xbox one changes. Usually people generally agree Sony has won the last few but this year I think that shifts. What I really want though is for the PC platform to win.

Splinter Cell with Ironsides ... big levels, Stealth focused

New Elder Scrolls or Singleplayer RPG from Bethesda 3rd person

Dreams

Something like State of Decay but not community focused, 3rd person but with a bigger budget.
New Soulsborne

Alright so here are my predictions for the big three so far.

NINTENDO

I expect Nintendo to do a deep dive into the BOTW DLC and their plans for both BOTW and Arms games. They will also showcase Splatoon 2, Mario Oddysey, Fire Emblem Heroes and a Pokemon Sun/Moon revision for Switch. I think we will also see the announcement of a substantial number of Ubisoft games coming to the Switch including the rumored Mario Rabbids RPG, Just Dance and a few other titles (South Park?, some sort of Mini game collection?, The Crew 2? That one mountain skiing game that I forget the name of?).

We will also see soome heavy support from Japan the biggest of which on GAF will be the reveal of a new From Software IP coming to Switch. Also a new Monster Hunter will be confirmed for Switch.

They'll close out with the announcment of new colors and bundles for ARMS and Mario Oddysey for this holiday season. Expect them to offer a very small discount over the non bundled SKUs + the mentioned game. Im guessing theyll be $349.00.

Notable absences: No new Metroid Game, No new F-Zero game

Sincerely hope I'm wrong about that last part...

MICROSOFT

I'm thinking MS has little to no new first party games to announce for this E3 except for those that are expected (Halo, Forza). Perhaps we will get a few smaller budget games unveiled from second party partnerships but they will be firmly in the Mid level or small budget category and not full fledged AAA titles. If revealed I could see them being Free to play titles and all will be heavily invested into the GAAS model.

We will likely see a blowout presentation for Xbox Game Pass but very little support from third party publishers for the program. There'll probably be an expansion for Halo Wars 2 unveiled. Also expect the new Forza to be a heavy focus with gameplay and optimization for Scorpio being the central focus of their presentation. Sea of Thieves will also be shown on Scorpio and an early access release will be announced for this fall.

I think we will see 4 or 5 AAA third party titles prominently featured (Shadow of War, AC: Origins, Bioware's New IP and one or two more) and touted as best on Scorpio.

The show will be heavily geared towards promoting Scorpio with gameplay of future, current, and preexisting titles on the new platform and a final price and release date announcement. They will also bundle in 3 free months of Game Pass subscriptions with every Scorpio unit sold.

Scorpio: Xbox One Elite
Price: base model $449.00 with one or two special or limited SKUs at higher prices
Release: 9/15/17

SONY

I'm thinking Sony's conference will be more third party centric this year with all the marketing deals they've secured for this holiday season.

We will probably get some limited bundles announced like perhaps theyll do a Silver and Gold unit bundled with Destiny 2. I'm sure RDR2 will be there too. Perhaps itll have a beta announcement or just a gameplay debut but I don't see it still hitting this year so unless I'm wrong on that I doubt it'd get a bundle debut.

We will probably get updates on some of the games we saw last year (Spider-Man, Days Gone, God of War, or Death Stranding etc) with some final release date reveals. I'm hoping we might also see Shenmue and FF7 remake again. I expect another gameplay demo for Detroit (this time its Kara) accompanied by the reveal that it will be releasing this year. I'm not thinking Spider-Man or God of War will end up making it this year. Both will probably be early 2018 releases.

We will probably also get some new info on Uncharted Last Legacy as well as an unveiling of the first big Horizon: Zero Dawn DLC. Also a new classic remaster project of some kind will likely be unveiled. Perhaps Spyro or Jak?

I expect a big GT Sport showcase along with the announcement that the game is delayed to Summer or Holiday 2018 but that a few public betas will be taking place this summer and holiday season. I also see a big public beta announcement for Destiny 2 happening on Sony's stage with whats likely to be an exclusive early access deal.

I could see a a handful of VR games being announced along with Sucker Punch's project. I could also see them announcing some PSVR bundles with some of the new games revealed and perhaps offer it at a lower price as well. Ultimately though I really don't think their investment in the space will bear much fruit this gen. It just seems too early for the tech to penetrate mainstream. Once we get headsets that require much less fuss (wireless, thinner, lighter etc) then I could see it making waves but the current models just don't seem to be garnering the sort of attention many were expecting they would. But I digress.
Outside of that I see this year being more of a third party / development update year than most. But,that doesn't mean it won't be a lot of fun as they can still blow us away with gameplay reveals and progress updates on highly anticipated titles.

FYI: I did copy some posts from other platform specific threads into this one just to let you know.
