I'm surprised people are surprised. The blurb they put out the other day said it was about some guy who could capture and use demons; that's Shin Megami

Interesting if this is Project Code: Daten. I am wondering if the Cthulhu Mythos angle they originally hinted at will be anything more than visual trappings, or if it's still a part of the game at all at this point. Will wait to hear more.

Looks like an SMT clone with worse designs.

People hating Wizardry type gameplay smh. Might be decent.

I mean, there's the Grimrock Series and Might & Magic X, there's really no reason a Wizardry-style game should still look like it runs on a 3DS, and the horribly cliche animu waifu character design doesn't really help :/

I'm not sure people hate the gameplay as much as the visuals and the piss-poor trailer. Might be wrong though.

Media Blast of new info and images for the Lost Child today in Japanese magazines and online.

Looks like they realized that a spiritual successor to El Shaddai should have some of the things people liked about the first game:

Cover Art

Still very much a Dungeon RPG with heavy SMT/Persona inspirations.

There are 4 large dungeons called "Obelisks". Two have been revealed so far: the first one is in Akihabara, the second one is located on Minakamiyama.

You build a party, buy equipment in an item shop called "House of the Witch", get status boots from visiting a hot-spring, level up your gear and fuse stronger weapons at a camera shop that is run buy someone who looks a lot like Igor from Persona.

Lots of replayability, countless dungeons, over 300h of content. The image below shows some of the dungeon layouts.

3 special bonuses if you pre-order/buy the first print edition

- Dark Enoch - a devil version of Enoch from El Shaddai
- Special Nephilim that will fight on your side as an astral body. They even start a band called the " Nephilim Seven"
- Limited booklet with concept art and background info

Looks like it could be fun. Might grab on the Vita if I ever run out of stuff to play.

Edit: Just realized it's releasing the day before MH XX Switch comes out. Maybe I'll wait a bit.
