Thinking about buying Puppeteer. It's looks great and I've heard a lot of good things about it, but, how's the replay value? Is it a game you only play once or are there challenges, collectibles or other things aside from the story?

Collectable heads in each level and once you get heads further in the game there are sections you can go back to earlier in the game to access. Nothing substantial however. A playthrough itself is alone worth the asking price. Presentation wise, it's like nothing you've seen and it's such a pleasant experience to go through. Levels are quite meaty in length too, so it's not a short game by any stretch for the price. There are challenge levels as well and again need certain heads to access.

Was really hoping for a sale on Sumioni and especially Atelier Totori Plus, so this sale is not really good for me, the fact the Dragon Age 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 DLC isn't on sale (while their resopective main games are) is an extra bit of disappointment for me.
I just feel like VT3 is faster and more exciting than VT4. There are some issues with the forth game, regarding player's movement and so on.
No, never was in IGC as I recall. Bought it recently for 10€, sold it a few days ago for 17€ (I don't know why either). Might gonna buy it again digitally.

It does have some re-playability though nothing substantial, but one playthrough is enough to justify the purchase at this price imo. Puppeteer, Ni No Kuni and Tearaway are some of the most charming games I've played and the presentation for Puppeteer in particular is phenomenal.
Tales of Graces f - Knight Edition was tempting me, but then I start reading the OT and see lots of responses complaining about the painful story, characters and voice acting, which were also the reason why I never finished Symphonia, so that'll save me 14,99.

This isn't a part of the Janurary sale but I figure it's worth mentioning that Team 17 discounted some of their software on PSN seeing as how it's on at the same time as this sale

They're prettymuch my reasons for still buying from the Australian store (that and I have about 5 years worth of stuff on my AU account)

Oh no, I do recommend VT4 on PS Vita if you want to play a Tennis game on the platform, it's your only option really. And it's just 6 so go for it. The game is just... partially broken I think. (Volleys are either too powerful or a joke, running feels a bit clunky, some animations are weird and so on.)

Wow, good job SCEE, for once. Imo even better than the Steam sale, which are the same games over and over again. Will probably grab a couple games. Already got P4G for Vita yesterday. The PS3 is definitely going out with a bang. Will never finish my backlog across all the platforms I own...

- Mirror's Edge (loved that game, to complement my digital collection)

- NFS Hot Pursuit (loved the settings and levels in the demo but it is a bit dull and the controls are shite, aren't they GAF?)
Will not buy
- SSX (as I am a Tricky above all lover and the CGR Undertow review told me that then I probably would not love it that much)
