@dawgtanian: Decided to try Hugo vs Dhalsim since that video from Japanese arcades surfaced. Hugo's Cr.Mp beats St.Mk more often than trades.
If for you have any interest in UNIEL at all and you want to look up footage of actual players in matches you can visit this compilation site.

It's in Japanese but all you have to do is click the character you want to watch and then click the name of the character you want to see them against. You can also just scroll down the window to see matchups if you don't use a translator. Pretty comprehensive.
Yikes
So a little more info about Hugo vs Sim.
That Rise game just makes me want F2P PC Anarchy Reigns with good netcode.
Less interested in flying around and shooting from a distance.
I really want someone to translate the feeling I have when playing DMC into a multiplayer setting.
Isn't Rise supposed to be F2P?
Where did the pay for time thing come from?
This is a really random question, but what's your favorite character selection screen?

Fuck yeah
Yes Giant Hitboxes coming!
I am drunk. today is my birthday. That is all.
Time to stalk Ami-Ami and give them money! I wonder what that LE is gonna be like?
3 years ago with Season 3 of Carnival Phantasm.
Seriously though I was very surprised that Current Code didn't make it on PSN in that time. We all know why the next installment is being held up but for Type-Moon to do nothing with Current Code outside of that release has and continues to strike me as odd.

MVC1 character select screen is godlike. The soundtrack, the sound effects, the lay out, the character portraits on the side, the stylized font of the character names... instills maximum hype in you.

Out of the modern games I like SSF4 (without dlc). Too bad they won't rearrange everyone. Looks so awkward now. TT2 is great too.
UMvC3 becomes top tier if you hold down R1 to bring back Gonna Take You For a Ride for vs outside of training mode.
One of my favorites is Samurai ShowdownThis is a really random question, but what's your favorite character selection screen?

It's pixelated because it's old lol. The artstyle is great and honestly not that different from the previous games. It's just presented really well.Marvel 1? Really? I was playing this the other day and the first thing that stood out to me was how garish and pixelated it is. I think it's fugly. Music is dope, though, and I like the characters posing after the selection. But as usual, I'm in the minority.
I hope that pay for time is referring to something else. Like pay for customization that lasts for X amount of game time. If not then this will be the first game I've seen in NA that has a pay for time setup (versus subscription fees for stuff like MMO's that require you to pay something to play).

I like character select screens where you can see your full avatar(s) while selecting.
Like Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
The pnly problem with some of those is when they take too long to load. Lookin' at you Soul Calibur 2.I like character select screens where you can see your full avatar(s) while selecting.

As the reverse example, I hate character select screens like TvCs because you can't see every character at once.I like character select screens where you can see your full avatar(s) while selecting.

that feeling when you go into a lobby and end a 10+ streak.
Yeah, I loved how it made a comic book cover. The presentation of MvC3 in general was so much better. It's so painfully clear how much they changed in UMvC3 just for the sake of change (and some things compromised for the sake of the Vita).vanilla marvel 3 is my favorite by miles and miles. it's a great retake on the marvel 2 screen and looks fantastic in motion.
in general the whole menu thing with the scene transitions were really cool. umvc3 being a hacked together POS in this regard actually still pisses me off to this day

Should I be hype for anime? Guess I'll check it out.
KOF14 or 13, i forget which one i have.
Now, I have never been to Kenya or wherever Elena is supposed to be from myself, but I'm pretty sure the guys there don't look like that.
