What is the secret to these movies? They're dumb, like really dumb but for some reason everything just clicks. xXx: Return of Xander Cage was dumb too, but I was annoyed with that. I've enjoyed the majority of these Fast and Furious movies, outside of 2 Fast 2 Furious. There's just something special about this series' brand of dumb, I swear.
1) Likeable diverse cast with pretty decent chemistry
2) Able to attract surprisingly big names to expand the ensemble
3) No fear with completely reinventing itself to stay fresh
4) Ridiculous enough to be fun, with enough heart and "family" to make you care
5) Commitment to practical car stunts and chases

Actually my fear with 8 is that the set pieces are so over-the-top that they'll use more CGI than practical for the action

He wasn't alone.
Tokyo Drift is shit

The only good movies are:

1, 5, 6, 7

1. kid from Home Improvement wrecks his daddy's viper
2. Han (3rd best of the gang)
3. JDM snacks
4. Sonny Chiba (how did that happen?)
5. Toretto cameo

These are all just facts.

I'm not sure if the Volkswagen Hulk van is a plus or a minus though

I hate this series, yet got suckered into seeing 2, 4, 5, and 7 due to hype or friends.

Not falling for it this time.

lol

I liked 5, but was pretty cold on 6 and 7. I think I'm probably skipping this series until they go to space.

i am gonna skip this one. i cant remember wtf happened in the last movie. Statham disappointed too. With Han and Paul Walker gone, the series needs new blood and Statham isnt doing anything for me. The rock can only do so much.

they needed a tom cruise or another A list actor like Will Smith. I guess they went for Charlize Theron but she will be just as limited in the villain role as Statham was in the last movie.

The ONLY absolutely necessary addition is Terry Crews as the Rock's former partner, who is a corrupt thrill seeker.

I actually watched 2 due to John Singleton directing it, not hype or friends...

At least it had hilarious gay subtext.

Hmm..I haven't seen a Fast film since Fast & Furious 2009. It was way too loud when I saw it in the cinema, it actually hurt my ears.

I liked Tokyo Drift though.

The only charecter I liked was Brian, so I dont know how much I will like this.

Serious, Paul Walkers death hit me hard. I have no clue why I liked him so much, but every role he was in, even the crappy ones, was awesome to me.

Not surprised, The Fast and Furious franchise's frank commitment to their own absurd continuity allows audiences the opportunity to become invested in the characters' journey and retroactively adds value to the previous entries.

Yesssss these are all good except for the Hulk car that was the one vehicular misstep in the film. Balanced out by having a JZX100 in the parking garage drift scene. And the entire American high school sequence was just great.

At least you can talk. Who are you?
The Fast and the Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious
Fast Five
Fast & Furious 6
Furious 7

Only thing more amazing than how the movies have evolved are all the different titles

Last two should just be called 'Fast' and 'Furious' respectively.

Legit surprised they haven't done that already.
