I would like the pic of it please =3

Sony better be sending out an internal email to all talking heads reminding them not to fuck up and keep their mouths shut if they don't have a proper answer to a question. Something MS completely failed to do yesterday.

That's the first reaction I'd expect from them. If they were smart.

I really want Sony to take an opposite approach and just say 'its a games machine, number one priority'.

People can say 'core gamers' isn't where the money is compared to the TvTvTvTvTvsportsTvTvTv market, but you certainly need a core market to gain a foothold in someone's home in the firstplace. With Microsoft's conference yesterday it didn't speak to as a gamer - nor as a TV viewer, nor as an owner of multimedia devices. It doesn't solve a technological need or want for me. This jack of all trades approach put me off the PS3s initial promotion at Sony. By the time the games arrived, I'd bought a 360

I think you nailed it.
People talk about how this multimedia approach makes business sense for MS. I don't see it.
I mean, the multimedia thing is a good boost to increase usage of console and sales at a later stage in the life cycle. But we never saw a TV device gain traction with the promise of being a multimedia hub.
Videogamers are not a huge segment, but they are early adopters and they tend to spend a lot. So, in my opinion, Sony's strategy "start hardcore, get casual in later years" makes much more sense than trying to take hold of the living room via a generic multimedia box.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Sony : "How about we start our E3 presentation with: We dont want to sell you a watercooler. We are going to show you what a dedicated gaming device of 2013 looks like."

They have improved a lot since the start of this gen and so far I haven't seen anything that's going to change but with that said anything can happen.

Right now they are probably leaning back and watching Kaz gifs.

I would be confident if I was Sony, but also very cautious. I feel like it's 2004 or whatever all over again when everyone said the PS3 would wipe the floor with the Xbox 360 and Wii, but that obviously didn't happen!

From over here it looks like a complete role reversal. In 2005 Sony seemed completely out of touch with their userbase whereas Microsoft was trying hard to win over people. Now Microsoft seems completely out of touch with their userbase and Sony is trying hard to win over people.
