And my still-beating heart was just ripped from my chest as well.
Do you honestly believe it can't be salvaged?
Here's your answer: look at Dragon Song.
Lunar is dead.

Do I have to?
I don't just own that POS, I bought it on day 1 and preordered it when it was still called Genesis.
I'll be flayed alive for saying too much on that topic, so I'll just say that tapping into talent from around the world can result in a title with broad multinational appeal if the right balance can be struck.
For example, I believe Square Enix should be tapping into the writing and design talent at Eidos Montréal for their own first party projects.
I check out some youtube videos but why did they change it from 3d?
Elminage was fuckawesome though.
I wish UFO or somebody would localize more of them.
Yeah? I still haven't picked up Elminage yet (still debating whether or not I want to eBay a physical copy...might be too pricey). Still, I'm pretty sure if there's a small audience for Elminage then there would probably be enough people to warrant the Additional titles...and yeah, I get it, maybe no one's approach From Software about those titles or maybe there's all that business shit in the way and they don't want anyone touching their games, etc, I don't know. I just feel like with the success/popularity of Demon's/Dark Souls it is the perfect opportunity for From to resurrect some of their resting IPs. It would just seem so easy to market them as "From the creator's of Demon's/Dark Souls" so that the new fan base could get the chance to appreciate, play and see what essentially spawned those games.
Fair Enough, you deserve better and Valkyria Chronicles 3 does as well...after sleeping on it for a while, I've thought of a few things, so for starters I would:
Listen to a Kanye West album
I haven't played any King's Field games but I definitely am interested in playing them because of the Souls games. I have KF2 but I haven't gotten around to playing it but like you said the PSP ones are unique. I will say I really liked Elminage and recommend it if you like or are interested in dungeon crawlers. I wanted to buy the physical copy but couldn't order it because I live in the US or are you talking about a Japanese copy?
There are a few people that were able to order it in the US without the use of someone in EU.
From Ghostlight? I either emailed or tweeted them and they ignored me.
Yeah from Ghostlight. I know personally, I just put in the order and they sent it to me and I live in Utah.

With Vic making some references to people forgetting about Konami... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this the game is from this publisher...
which means I think it will be one of these:
-Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki
Then again he also made references to "subgenre" and the aforementioned games are all fairly orthodox in their gameplay structure.
Man, one can only dream with something like Sakura Taisen. Playing the games without a text guide and in my Vita.... banderas.gif
Not to mention he specifically said it's not suikoden.
I think the beauty of most RPGs came from people making games they wanted to in the team they were in. I think for the most part conscious decisions to cater to audiences usually results in a worse game.
For example, one reason I think Final Fantasies were not good after VII is because VII had international success, and that made Square conscious of another market.
Shigeru Miyamoto is a fantastic example of someone who has directly influenced an entire generation of Western game developers, and they're now largely out-doing him at his own game.

-Tengai Makyo: The 4th Apocalypse (since Konami now owns the rights of Hudson)
.
Why'd you have to remind of about the PSP version of Venus & Braves?
Yeah from Ghostlight. I know personally, I just put in the order and they sent it to me and I live in Utah.
My guess is Tengai Makyou. He said this one is not suikoden, but he did say that releasing this first game would be important as to what could come next. I think Suikoden could be the next.
It's not a bad guess, as it's a game he's been going after for a long time. On the other hand, Sakura Wars would imply Valkyria Chronicles 3 eventually, as they were made by the same team in Sega. And I'm sure we could all come up with a few other Sega titles that could use a re-release or translation...
I wish I'd have known that... I would have loved a copy. What did it run you?
also tell me when you're done with it
Response to a CoH2 LE may have been lukewarm, but Sakura Wars? That would sell like gangbusters.
I hope so at least.

It would. Missed opportunity for million seller series. Believe, GAF and Sega.
I didn't really find Sakura Wars 5 to be that great. I didn't even finish it. Are the older ones better or are they all pretty similar?
If Sakura Wars 5 is anything to go off of you are sadly mistaken. A shame to be certain as they are fine games, but "gangbuster" sales for them is not in the cards in the west.
Depends on what you didn't like. 5 is easily the worst for characters and story (4 might fail on the story, haven't played that one yet), but the basic gameplay structure is the same in all of them. 5 was the only one with the air battles, but I didn't like how those played. And seeing how important characters and story are to a game like this, I can see how people would be turned off.I didn't really find Sakura Wars 5 to be that great. I didn't even finish it. The first game has some classic story moments a ways into the game, but for the most part it's basically a good 90's anime and a good, if simple, 90's SRPG. What that means to you will play a large part in how much you like the game.
It's one of my top RPGs ever. You need to play it now!! He said changes to the libraries others will imitate though so that makes be think a new system but currently on psn. Saturn maybe?I finally looked up footage of Tengai Makyou 4th Apocalypse because of this thread and I've decided I need to play it badly. For some reason I never realized that famous map of "America" was from that game.
