Curious to see what the XL will look like. Between the XL, X and Note8, the 2017 phone lineups have been pretty damn nice on the high end.
Only issue being the XL being a LG phone which has me concerned for bootloops.
How do you like the sound of an extra fancy speaker? Now your phone will have TWO speakers on it, for those times you want to listen to music from your phone directly! Screw headphones! Now you can be annoying like kids used to be on the back of the bus in the mid-2000's blaring music from their phone speakers!I'm honestly not worried about the headphone jack if they do something fancy with the "extra" space saved.
I think it's going to be between the Pixel XL 2 and V30 for me, looks like both will be LG made. Excited to see what Pixel XL 2 beings to the table.
Nice little bootloops. I really have to sell my G6 before mine gets any.looks like both will be LG made. Excited to see what Pixel XL 2 beings to the table.

Because Google decide. Is the XL supposedly LG based? Why would it not have a headphone jack?
I still find it disappointing that Google has moved away from cheaper phones. Pixel does nothing to me since it's soooooo out of my budget range.
Because it was worth it.
No headphone jack, then I guess my next phone is the LG V30.
If the S8 can manage a headphone jack, while being debatably the sexiest phone out there from a design perspective, other companies have very little excuses.
OnePlus is probably the company that fills that niche now with flagship phones hitting the $1000 range.
The cheapest model of the One Plus 5 has all the things you'd expect from a flagship except:
6 inch screen
Edge to edge display
Quad HD
For lacking those three things, you save almost $500 on a phone.
Having no headphone jack is preposterous, I thank LG for being on the right side of history and pushing for high end DACs on high end phones.Compared to the 6P, it really wasn't worth the premium. It's the first time I dropped Google's "official device" since the G1. I even bought the Galaxy Nexus.
Good call. You'll get the DAC and it makes everything sound amazing. The one in my V20 is night and day difference.
While we are asking questions, will this phone also be sold only in like 10 countries?
No headphone jack and it's still super pricey for me. The no jack thing particularly doesn't work for me as my car is old but happens to have a radio with an AUX jack so I can still listen to my Google Play Music through the cable.
iPhone 8/8+ are more expensive than the iPhone 7/7+ & Pixel/XLMmm if it's going for more than last year's models this year then it'll be more expensive than the iPhone 8/8+... doesn't seem smart
You should want to get it! If past performance is anything to go by when it starts failing in 2 years you will get the 2018 XL in return!
Hearing about all these people getting a free Pixel XL for that 6P debacle makes me wish I invested in one back then

I am one of those people, but to be fair, the 6P's problem is really bad. Like, at any given time, I have no idea how much battery I have left on mine, which makes it almost unusable when not plugged in or at least nearby a power source.Hearing about all these people getting a free Pixel XL for that 6P debacle makes me wish I invested in one back then
How did they cut corners exactly? I honestly would still be using my 6P to this moment if it didn't have those terrible shutdowns. As far as we can tell in the Nexus 6P thread, Huawei cut corners on the battery, which is why lots of us are getting premature shutdowns (mine shuts down at around 50% now). Google is aware of the problem but has no fix, except to replace the devices.
Increase the price, take away the headphone jack. Google, pls, lol. You aren't Apple.
Shit is so laughable, and it's ugly as sin to boot!
