Honestly, almost every time I enter a theater, I think about what I would do if it were to come under attack. It usually gets a little unsettling visualizing it.
Huh? That isn't improbable at all...Why does this have to be made into "social porn"? The reporter just said he "heard" a baby was shot there. You don't have to say that, especially when it's a rumor and ESPECIALLY when it's very improbable that somebody took a baby to a movie theater.
I would have preferred him taken dead.
Why? There'd be no way to learn why and how he did it, and that's important to prevent it from happening again.
What difference does his ethnicity make?. So if he's white ,people will call him a lone nut and if he's brown he's a terrorist?

there are always people taking kids and babies to movies, even rated R ones. This is crazy especially the guy describing a young girl riddled with bullets. Glad they caught the suspect, surprised he didn't commit suicide since it seems to be common in these type of cases.

This was already confirmed multiple times.
He also had a canister of what appeared to be tear gas and multiple explosives (unknown how many).

Just plain curiosity, and I think judgement will be placed in the end on what the guy says and what evidence is found concerning the case. Quick to judge yourself.

Every massacre like this happens for a completely different reason, as far as the suspects are concerned anyway. Dead or alive really doesn't matter in this situation other than to give us justice and set a precedent moving forward. There is no way that this will provide any understanding of the suspect or prevent other people doing similar things under slightly different pretenses.

I'm guessing if he doesn't get death, he gets one of those tiny cinder-block cells where he only gets an hour in an empty yard a day.

- Suspect in custody.
- Suspect in early 20's.
- Suspect was carrying one rifle and two handguns - no automatic weapons.
- Suspect's Hyundai car (why that model makes a difference I don't know) being searched for explosives.
- Appears to have been smoke, not tear gas.
- At least 14 people confirmed dead.
- Around 50 injured with injuries ranging from minor to severe.
- Injuries in adjacent theatre's appear to be from stray bullets, not a second shooter.
Colorado rarely carries out capital punishment.
I'm sure they also rarely have massacres too.

There's no way to stop it happening again no matter what you learn, but it will at least be able to offer something approaching closure to the victims' families, insofar as one can attain closure after such an event.
Every massacre like this happens for a completely different reason, as far as the suspects are concerned anyway. Dead or alive really doesn't matter in this situation other than to give us justice and set a precedent moving forward. There is no way that this will provide any understanding of the suspect or prevent other people doing similar things under slightly different causes.
Every single case brings us a bit more understanding of people who snap. The alternative is to just believe that people snap inevitably with no rhyme or reason.
