I was thinking about that but the rake tool would make it look like a serrated knife at an angle. Most people probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference at a distance but I am a real stickler for details. No matter how subtle they may be.
That helmet probably wouldn't take too long if you did a rough sub-d model and then cut details in while maintaining quads.
