How long does it take to beat ???

Struct09 said:
Are you estimating, or does Picross 3D have a time clock somewhere?
I added up all of the times it took me to beat each of the puzzles (yes, that actually was one of my complaints, that there was no convenient game-wide clock in the game)

Just finished Vanquish. The time on the in-game clock said 4 hours, 58 seconds.

I'm pretty sure the game's clock doesn't count cutscenes though - since it felt like it took a lot longer than 4 hours to beat. The game has cutscene diarrhea, so I wouldn't be surprised if the total time spent to get through the campaign was closer to 7-8 hours.
It doesn't count deaths.

So if you die in one part, then redo it and succeed, it only counts the time of the redoing.

I have complete redone the spreadsheet with my own database. Let me know what you guys think. This makes it much easier on me. Since I only have to enter the hours for the game and it automatically does the rest for me.

Updated to this post.

"let's get a measure of Vanquish's actual game content by cutting out all the cut-scenes, removing all of our deaths and giving it to you straight from start to finish

Even in these ultra-optimistic conditions, the timer winds up at five hours, four minutes. Beating that time on your first playthrough of the game by over an hour would require the ability to sail through losing no lives whatsoever, intimately knowing all the strategies required to beat each level right off the bat. In short, unless you're a superhumanly adept player with a phenomenal gift of foresight, the chances of you completing the game in under four hours are extremely remote."

Enchanted Arms: 73 hours

Cool thread, I've always wondered about how long a game is before playing it. I looked through the list and noticed one person finished EA in around 30 hours? Then I got reminded how long it took me to finish it. Quite the difference.

Maybe you did everything in the game and the other person just went through the whole main story only ?

I didn't do everything in the game but did try to do as much as possible. The way the game is structured it has too much stuff going on for one playthrough and makes good use of new game plus. I didn't do one extra dungeon with a lot of floors in it, I heard that takes at least 5 hours to complete. And I have 56% of all the monsters (kinda like pokemon). But yeah, I did a lot and didn't rush through the story.
